What a fantastic team at this hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for our wedding this weekend. Fiona you are an exceptional manager, your advice was spot on regarding the evening buffet, glad we listened. The hot meal was amazing, all our guests commented on the quality, quantity and how fresh all the accompaniments were. The honeymoon suite was fab with the lovely touches of chocolates and champagne on arrival. We didn't see our function room until our return from the Blacksmiths shop, what a lovely surprise it was. The room was beautiful with all the special finishes.
The DJ that you recommended was brilliant and every request was played. All in all a fantastic experience, we had an amazing weekend with family and friends. We would not hesitate to recommend The Solway Lodge to anyone wanting a quality wedding venue or a weekend break.
We used the Flower Basket for bouquets and button holes, all were delivered to the hotel and also used Glendinnings in Annan for kilt hire, they were top notch and also picked up from the hotel after the wedding which was handy. All the local services we used including the taxi firms spoke very highly about the quality of the hotel and the food, so we had a lovely rib eye steak on the recommendation of Frank from the Blacksmiths shop and the staff at Glendinnings, we were not disappointed.

Absolute fabulous. Everything about it from room staff drinks and food atmosphere. Would recommend it if you even come up to Gretna. ��������
