Needed a meal when stopping overnight in Grimsby. Short walk from the town centre on a miserable night well worth it as these were genuinely the best takeaway fish & chips I've had for years. Really well cooked, very tasty, not greasy and a lovely bit of flaky fish. And considering the price some places are charging they were excellent value. Highly recommended.

I've only just discovered this lil chippy and wow what a find I ordered medium fish and chips and it's a generous portion,the fish was cooked and battered to perfection,the kids got battered sausage and chips also excellent along with the gravy best chippy I've had for along time👌 definitely be going back again.

I searched Google for gluten free fish & chips within a 40 mile radius of our home and THE CHIPPY came up as gluten free with great reviews so we drove over to Grimsby approximately 41 mile's from home and I can honestly say the chippy has got it perfect for GF with other GF items available service was excellent with an excellent portion control and No being ripped of with prices (like other GF establishments) absolutely excellent will be back to sample the other GF products thank you Peter Young

I have eaten fish and chips across the nation in many coastal spots acclaimed for their fish and chips. I can say now that The Chippy is up there with the greatest of them. The fish was moist, fresh, and cooked to order. The chips actually tasted of fabulous potato, rather than relying on the fact of having been deep-fried to provide fabulousness. I loved the service most; what warmth. Totally recommended.

Great grub, great service. About the only chippy that will cook in veg oil on request, good for us vegetarians and gluten free too, for those with dietary restrictions. Now better than ever, and served by two wonderful people.🤗

For me it has taken the lead as best fish n chip shop in Grimsby/cleethorpes. Great taste and even on Good Friday did a fantastic job of dealing with long queues within 10 minutes. (Sausage and chips/fish, chips and gravy)
