Nice vego plate and cosy Cafe, but bit expensive. The food was nice enough but not something I'd rave about. It wasn't particularly busy but took awhile to get the plate. We were going to get chips but the deep frier was turned on at 11, which was 13 minutes away. So I ordered the vego plate and was surprised that there was a 40cent surcharge. I never saw the little fine print at the bottom of the menu about a surcharge. So just so you know, there is a 1.5% surcharge and no you don't have the option to pay with cash to avoid that. Since I was going to be hit with another surcharge by ordering the chips 13 minutes later, I decided against. In hindsight, it might have been a good idea / suggestion that I could pay for the chips now and get them served when they were ready. (Especially as by the time the plate came out, it would have nearly coincided) 20% surcharge on public holidays.

The outside verge eatery is so pretty - wooden furniture, blossom trees and flowers in hanging pots... The resident Alsatian quietly roaming table to table - greeting guests, accepting pats and visiting the staff at their prospective posts. Good coffee, delicious breakfast - one delightfully friendly Barista and one pouty, post-pubescent adolescent possibly needing more of her own caffeinated beverages to brighten her attitude and widen her smile. More pricey than some other local establishments, but a genuinely enjoyable experience for an impromptu, rather freezing, midweek winter breakfast with hubby!

Not much to really brag about with this place but of a rip off for what you get. I got the eggs for $15 and had to add on bacon for $6, my friend got scrambled eggs which you have to pay an extra $3 just to have scrambled what a joke and they where the sloppiest most disgusting eggs. Coffee came out after the meals. Better off going to The Milkbar on James street way better food way better value for money
