Loved our room here. My only complaint about the room is that ours was right next to a storage room so people going in and out of it was constant during restaurant hours. It was only an issue because we were jet lagged and sleeping at odd times. But the room was comfortable and well equipped despite that. The food, service, and atmosphere was excellent! I recommend the mushroom stroganoff and brownie.

LOVE the Withies! My family has been coming here since 1987, and every time we come the food does not disappoint. One thing to note is that they are incredible when it comes to food allergies or diet requirements. I personally have a dairy allergy and they have always been very good at making sure everything is to my liking. Additionally the service is top notch, the owner is always smily and up for a chat and the servers and always attentive. Finally the food is outstanding! My favorite is the garlic prawns which are given with a side of freshly baked bread which melts in the mouth and WOW. Overall FIVE STARS

Thank you Hugh and Team for everything you done on Saturday for dads surprise 60th lunch. Your customer service was exceptional. The food was delicious. The table looked incredible outside decorated, thank you all for making it so special. The hotel rooms were amazing. Thank you all very much.

Absolutely beautiful old Inn. Has retained its authentic charm and character.
Food was excellent - especially recommend the apple crumble and the Sunday roasts. Service was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly.

Great location. Quintessentially English. We hit it on a warm summer evening so as good as it gets. Came here 40 years ago and been a fan since then. Like most of the world I think I see a bit of post Covid strain and the UK economic situation is maybe impacting business as despite the balmy weather it was only half full. Staff were great. Food is not 'inspiring' but is quality and reasonable value so a rock in the stream. Still a favourite.
