Carina's Cafeteria

Hit and miss. Food is ok, some things are very good and some things are not great, it just looks fancy. It's overly expensive. I'm still crying for the 9 quid pistachio soufflé with rich chocolate ice cream. It wasn't pistachio!!! It was a green coloured almond soufflé that didn't taste of anything like pistachio (do you think your clients are stupid?) And the chocolate ice cream was just completely normal chocolate ice cream, not rich, not dark, not anything, just the ice cream no one likes. The rest of the food was hit and miss. Salmon and the steak just look so sad and boring, felt sorry for the people who ordered them. Bangers and mash were delicious. On top of all this they charge you for the service without warning you (I suppose you get to see your bill when you're at the restaurant, but not at the pub as you pay directly at the till). I find this outrageous as it's like having a tax over the price on the menu. Just add all the expenses to the prices!! People come here knowing it's an expensive place, so why don't you pay your staff decently? I took a few days to review this place so I could do it with a clearer mind, but writing this has just upset me again at how much I spent for an okay and deceiving meal. I definitely won't go again or recommend this place, although I've had friends go before who did have a good experience. Up to you.
