Bamboo Shoots

Probably my favourite place for a quick lunch in Guildford. The food is super fast, super fresh and super tasty. Spice can be tailored to personal taste via the chilli flakes provided on tables. Your host is a very nice chap, always up for a chat. Being gluten free the options are good as rice noodles can go with just about anything.

A lovely little tea and noodle palour tucked away just off the High St, run by a husband and wife team serving freshly cooked Pan Asian food from the Far East! I enjoyed this dish of slow cooked pork shoulder with onions, and honey crunchy tofu in a sweet and spicy sauce on a bed of rice (somewhere under all that protein!!). Really fab portion and tasty too!

Tucked away in a side street of Guildford, this little, independent restaurant is a wonderful lunchtime retreat from the daily stresses of work. Boasting generous portions at very reasonable prices and a never-ending assortment of teas all cooked while you wait (and you won't be waiting long even when they're busy which they often are!) They do tend to make things a bit on the spicier side so if you prefer you food on the milder side, just say - they are always happy to oblige. My work pals and I regularly visit and would highly recommend
