I have been here a lot, but today wasn't so good. Very few pastries and buns and upstairs was absolutely freezing. I guess that's one way of getting people out quickly. Downstairs is nicer in that it's warmer but it's often full of prams and pushchairs and screaming babies. The coffee is okay 49 pence in my own cup.
Slightly hidden in a side street, so it's easier to get a seat than other coffee places in the area, which tend to be crowded with laptop users nursing their one cup of coffee.

Love the sandwiches, Bircher muesli, and croissants, particularly the plain croissants, I can have it everyday. It tastes nice whether it’s hot or cold. The best croissant you can have in the town. However, their coffee tastes really terrible. I would suggest get the coffee at somewhere else.
Well designed coffee and snack restaurant. No pretzels available anymore, unfortunately, but comfy seats upstairs and fine atmosphere.
