The Lakeside Cafe

My partner and I chance upon this cafe as we don’t usually live up this end of the world however this place will have me back again in no time. Especially when it has a separate Alfresco area for the furbaby! The grilled pesto chicken salad is amazing. The vinaigrette dressing has an Asian twist to it which I love. The marination on the chicken wasn’t heavily pesto covered like some others and great portion. The taste is just right! The shallots compliments well on the salad. Pork & sage chipotle perfect as an add on. Very delightful experience!

Great little cafe , conveniently located close to the airport! Wanted to try somewhere different nearby and this place looked like it had everything we wanted for a morning breakfast and coffee !! Simple and effective 👍 Awesome coffee and Benny , pancakes were a win for my friend on the way to the airport!! Staff were friendly.. can't complain about anything here. Check it out.

March 2022 Update from previous review over 12 months ago. The garden cafe is still very consistent with the quality of their food, drinks and service. Brilliant and can never fault. Jan 2021 The Garden Cafe on Guildford is a cute small cafe on Guildford Road side, and there's extra dining under an Alfresco at the rear. The service is friendly and prompt. I had a coffee with LACTOSE FREE MILK and a brownie. Both were very good. They have magazines and newspapers to read and are very health conscious with the covid-19 virus. Do yourself a favour and try them out. Parking on side street or rear parking. Also BLT with or without chips is great value and delicious too.
