Very nice pub, lovely back garden, toilets are very clean. The food was really nice. My only complaint is that our main dish was served at the same time as our starter. Very dog friendly, which was a bonus

This is a little gem of a pub. First impressions are that it is a little tired and unwelcoming, but the staff more than make up for that. Great home cooked food, that isn't fancy, but tastes good and is very reasonably priced.
Drinks aren't over priced either.
I have been to a 'gastropub' in the same village, but much prefer The George for food, prices & friendliness.
Will definitely return....try it ans you will too!

Hidden gem. Countless times have walked by here. Had a lovely burger meal last week, the food was incredible. Good value and great service. Will definitely be back

met new chef couple days ago and he invited us to try it now !
i always feel i give honest reviews so here goes . had vegetarian options and i can honesty say it was 10/10 cooked to perfection . home made coleslaw to die for . if any you haven’t been back for some time retry it won’t be disappointing

Based in a beautiful old building and superbly location on the High Street. Beers were great. Food was good though some diners said their ale pie wasn't hot enough (the waiting staff did heat it up when asked). Other than that it was a lovely lunchtime experience.

I had a pleasant experience here, the food was really tasty. I had the macaroni cheese with bacon & garlic bread which came out in a generous portion! Also the staff were friendly. The pub itself has a very nice & relaxing environment. I did mention I wanted no salad with the macaroni cheese but it came with salad (they did take off the salad for me) but overall it was a great experience!
