Visited today for the first time after hearing good things. The cob meal didn't disappoint, plenty of fittle and good value. The drinks were cheap and served with a smile. The staff who served us, one particularly lovely lady with many tattoos, was really friendly and just so pleasant. Lovely dinner. Will definitely be back.

Asked for Chardonnay, offered "white wine" no type of wine on the bottle, served in a gin glass. I had a lager, either the beer or the glass smelt. 2 nd pint was a little better 3rd pint was passable, a wine and a lager was over £10 VERY expensive for the area. Don't think they still do food

I've been eating at this pub since The Thorns closed years ago. The food quality is excellent for the price paid and staff are friendly. Adverse publicity recently might have put customers off but I recommend you give it a try for yourself. …

There is only one word to describe this place FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC the staff are lovely, nothing is to much trouble for them. The carvery is amazing. If you like breakfast an all you can eat buffet will set you up for the day until tea time. The price is unbeatable. Good clean pub. Keep up the good work Sam and her team.
