Having passed this pub every time we come back from Southwold and promising to check it out, we finally did today. We didn't regret it either. Lovely old pub, friendly welcome and a massive bowl of chips. We will definitely be going back there again and will visit with friends in the near future. Thank you 😊 Claire and Tim

Absolutely the best pub meal we've ever had - and we've had a lot! Homemade flat bread, fantastic veggie food, great flavours, fantastic service (the kitchen stayed open later so we could eat!). Just an all round brilliant place.

Dog friendly. Fabulous food, I had the Beer Braised Chicken and hubby had the Big Sticky Burger with a side of chips. (Photo shows burger with the top off.) Would well recommend.

Had a decent meal here with friends and the dog. Beautiful old thatched building with massive beer garden front and rear with good parking. Not a large range of drinks and tables and chairs a bit rickety. Mind the very low beams!
Food was good and decent sized portions. Fish portion wasn't large but came with plenty of chips and accoutrements.
Staff relaxed and very dog friendly. Enjoyed meal and would visit again

Went here on the chance of getting a table. Luckily it was quiet. Very happy with what we got. This is a rustic pub inside and it is what it is. The food was superb and more than enough. The chips are amazing.

Great beer, top choons on the rotation. The best place sip a beer in IP19 forget The Star down the road. I've not tried the food but I'll be sure to do next time in here. This is what pubs are all about.

The best vegan meal I’ve ever eaten and fantastic value for money. My family had the lamb roast and said it was the most unique they’ve had. Also recommend the fish and chips because of the red pepper ketchup alone!

It was fantastic experience of the foods and dessert that I ever had for long long time. Belly of pork was the top quality also Vegetarian option was fantastic. Staffs were very friendly and informative can't do enough for you, great services and reasonable price, strongly recommended.
