Gorgeous building, lovely, friendly staff and just gorgeous food! Another little gem of a place!

After a couple of jobs in Halesworth this morning I found Ancient House and I’m very glad I did. They served me a spectacular beef brisket sandwich and gorgeous tempura prawns.
Ancient House has a beautiful setting with original features and pokey rooms. The service was super friendly and happy which is always refreshing attribute.
The menu was mouth-wateringly simple.
I was told the Katsu curry bowl is a favourite so I will have to return.

Ordered a takeaway from Ancient house this evening, staff were super accommodating and even willing to make us something which wasn’t on the menu, food was superb, really tasty hot and fresh as-well as being served quickly! Would recommend and will be ordering again!

Went here on a works do, booking the whole venue. Had a great time. Staff were very friendly and the food was outstanding 👌

Deceptively simple food, to a surprisingly high standard for the price. We dropped in for unplanned lunch, and were very impressed. Two of is chose three small plates to share, and each was simple, expertly prepared, delicious and healthy. Service was friendly, great coffee, and friendly staff. Will definitely be back for a full dinner!

If your looking for somewhere for good flavoured food here is defo the place to visit. I havent ever been anywhere where the flavour presentation and service has been outstanding as here.

Good food. Lovely courtyard. Very interesting and atmospheric trip up the stairs to the loos. The house really is ancient. The individual hand towels were a nice touch.
