Very good wine and beer, lots of choice of spirits. Excellent music with regular live bands. Friendly, welcoming and highly entertaining staff. If I could invent my ideal pub, this would be it!
Clearly the jewel in the crown of the now burgeoning calderdale micro pub scene... Staff and owner are top people, the pork pies are off the chart (seriously buy one and attempt not to have a second immediately..) and the place is host to lots of varied talks, music sessions and open mic nights. Add in the gin selection, fine ales, intimate size and friendly punters, and you really do have a no brainer of a visit.
Favourite watering hole in Halifax, just moved to a larger location and still full of character and has the same warm welcoming feel and vibe of their previous smaller spot 😀 Great selection of beers on tap 👌🏼 🍺 Decor and friendly staff make this my first destination when in Halifax. Oh and they have live bands a plenty which I need to get myself too sharpish! 🎶🎸Fab area now for the bands to play, great work guys! 👏🏼
went to go see a couple bands last week. beer was good, the bar was quite small but had a nice atmosphere. overall a nice little place.
Great little bar, nice ales at sensible prices. Have experienced several live music events here, quite something in such a constricted space. Really good atmosphere, worth a visit.

Fabulous quirky bar, absolutely love it, it's our 'Halifax local bar' (we're from Leeds)when we have a gig to go to at the Piece Hall.
Wish it was closer to visit more often than we do.

Neat little, music loving, top class joint. Small bar but still a great selection. They do monthly Jazz night, highly recommended. But beware of it's inside event then just 20 people would pack the premise. Awaiting summer to experience the outside sitting and events.
They got updated events on the website if you wanna plan ahead for things.
Quirky little bar, usually 4 well kept cask ales + kegs and good selection of spirits. Some outdoor seating. Well worth a visit.
