I have just had my shoes repaired at " Ronnie's shoe repair " Suberb work !
My shoes look better than they did when they were new . .
My shoes are five years old !
I also bought a couple of pies from a pie shop in there that has won a lot of awards !
The minted lamb and potato was probably the best pie I have ever had !
Always tend to visit the market when I'm in Halifax usually visiting the vape shop 'smokers corner' which is good value. Besides this there is a great sweet shop and plenty of places to buy nice clothes, diy stuff and get a decent well priced coffee. The market is full of history and has a great atmosphere which takes you back in time, far more interesting than the high street in my opinion :)
Wow, with attention to detail on the building. This market houses, so many delights. From the meat counter where the ham is perfect. To the vegetable stall, where the veg is fresh and enjoyable to pick. My favourite though. Is the food hall section. Where there is something for everyone. My favourite though, being a vegitarian is ' The Grain' where you're made very welcome, whilst waiting for homemade food, which is not only delicious, but carefully thought out, bringing together a fusion of flavours, that leave you very satisfied inded 😊
Great market. Fresh meat fruit and veg. Household stalls and clothes. Its a really nice market
All ways full of a lively atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff on stalls. Has a lot of variety to offer from barber shops to cafes, mobile shops, clothes, food.etc you name it Brough market has it. Only down side it closes way to early.
Love the old feel this has to it, amazing clock in the middle, the beams and the paintwork are really good. The stalls themselves are slightly on the cheap side but there is something for everyone here. From fresh veg go meat, to purses to backs and even a little record shop. Great to just walk around in
We had another trip today to the hop. Great place. Market under going work. Hopefully when finished it will be like it was when I was a child with added extras
Always feel nostalgic when I visit here, lots of great stalls and all under one roof
Good place to purchase normal stuff sadly not as good as it was in certain areas but a traditional indoor market worthy of visiting
Market great place it the heart of halifax and lots of happy memories of great shops but now calderdale council are destroying history and people livelihood due crippling rents and forcing the stall holder to close going to be another to be destroyed by lining council pockets why don't councillors of caldetdale and our MP also mayor stop having luncheons or fancy dinners on tax payer and put that in the pot and reduce rents on shops in halifax instead of leaving our town with empty premises because spending money on wrong prohects why don't the take a pay cut and put back into the money pot for this town as they are here for public to destroy this market as they are will be the thing that will definitely finish halifax off start supporting public markets
