First time trying here for Sunday lunch having been several times before for drinks. Quite impressed, lovely food and good sized portions that were well cooked. Very reasonably priced, slightly disappointed they had run out of several things but I can't hold it against them as we booked for 2.30 and they finish serving at 3. Staff really attentive and its super dog friendly which I love. Special mention for their long island ice tea which is good and strong.
Found by chance as we stayed at the nearby Travelodge Hotel. The beer was lovely and dark, but there were other choices. The food is reasonably priced, cooked to order, and it was delicious. My wife had lamb cutlets, and I a steak and Ale pie, again it was delicious and adequate portion sizes. In fact, I had to eat one of the lamb cutlets as my wife was full. The staff are friendly and very attentive, making sure everything was just right. There were lots of local customers, so I don't think we just dropped in on a lucky night.
I would definitely go again.
Possibly my favourite bar in Halifax. I adore the relaxed atmosphere incredible range of beers and the fantastic service. It never ever disappoints me. Food is pretty epic too.
We recently held our wedding celebrations at The Stod Fold and we're so glad we did! We really had the best day/night, and we can't thank the staff enough. Everything was amazing, the venue, the food and the staff. All our guests had a great time and really loved the food. Thank you for everything you did for us x
Craft beer and homemade food in a lovely atmospheric setting. We had some great chats with the staff and wouldn't hesitate to come back. Thanks for the friendly welcome to Halifax!
Free WiFi. Nice looking place. A few of their own beers on tap. They are happy to do samples. Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly helpful service
I have just taken my girlfriend here for a date and it has been one of the best meals we’ve had. The food has been exceptional, the staff very friendly and the drink brewed in Halifax is the icing on the cake! Staying till close as I have no desire to go elsewhere. If considering at all then you should go and you won’t be disappointed!!
Due to a train change, I made a decision after using maps to find a watering hole with real ale that had some honest food on offer without being expensive... My visit sadly a swift one.. (I say this because I could have easily stopped longer if I had the time. Two pints an some fine burgers with a fine sounding young lady singing as a back drop.
Array of their own ales as it turned out to be a brewery tap, not being selfish, there was a good selection of t'othas.
Swift ten minute walk from train station, even closer to bus station... Probably another overlooked gem of a oub that is tucked away. Don't be fooled by its modern facade within an old building, its a friendly place, staff and regular customers welcoming and helpful.
Fancy usb Charging sockets ont'wall saved me, good to see a selection of board games to use... Can't beat Knockin scrabble tiles after a few drinks or remenicing with BattleShip lol.
Seems that they feature a few different themed menus and entertainment.
Even a keg for our 4 legged friends...
Thumb up from me... Or more to point... Glasses up 🍻 one day I'll intentionally make a visit when I've more time and have a walk around the old Yorkshire Town. Good health.
Staff really friendly. & Helpful. .Good choice of beer.
Sunday lunch available and really delicious, hot and lots of veg!
Great real ale bar with a good range of beers and some lovely gins. Great atmosphere and live music when we visited. Food available.
