It's like going back in time. Wonderful experience. A traditional, proper greasy, unpretentious place. What you see is what you get. Shame so many of these have been replaced with "hipster" places selling late and fancy toasties for an arm …

A proper traditional cafe which is becoming a rarity these days and I hope it never changes.
Fantastic Cafe, been going there since I was a nipper 50 years!. Danny and the team are great, always welcoming. food portions are fab, tasty and reasonable, always return when in the Fax!
Just love this cafe , proper home cooked style food . I had a hot beef and onion sandwich with gravy and chips . It was very tasty , the chips and gravy were the best I've had . Lovely staff and food brought to you quickly and piping hot . Definitely recommend this place and good prices
Excellent, well prepared, down to earth food, generous portions, freshly made daily, staff polite, friendly and efficient, non pretentious, can be very busy.
Convenient location; sadly it closes quite early; the staff are quite approachable.
