I love this little bakery, excellent produce great staff all the girls are always cheerful.
I highly recommend this bakers, I often go out of my way just to go there. Breads superb too all types.

Just want to thank you for our lovely anniversary cake. Looks too good to eat - but we did and the sponge was light and the lemon cream was lovely - not too sweet. Overall a really lovely cake.

If I wasn't of a diet I would be down there everyday. Fantastic selection, always fresh and the window presentation is always tempting. Personal favourite has to be the sausage roll.

I love Humes as it provides high quality bread and cakes every visit. The staff are friendly and helpful and they worked throughout lockdown despite the risks so we could continue to get our bread.
They are a welcoming and much loved part of Halstead and I hope they will continue to bake for the town for many years to come.

Staff were OK not very warm welcome no friendly disabled access but I have to say that it's been the best carrot cake I've eaten in Essex and priced very well.

All I can say is the bread is excellent, the pies are excellent and the cakes are excellent. And of course the service is also excellent.
This shop is probably one of the best bakers in Essex if not the best.
Hence a very worthy 5🌟 rating.
Very highly recommend. 😀

Absolutely great little bakery, have to get there early so that they don’t sell out of the best bits. The synthetic cream donuts are the best I have ever had, the jam donuts are amazing and the sausage rolls are my complete favourite. The staff are friendly and the prices are very reasonable, definitely recommend!

Picked up a birthday cake for 80 people on Saturday morning 15/7/17 looked great.!!! got some little iced cakes for the children at the party.!!! everyone said it was the best cake they had tasted, so moist.!!! the staff are so helpful and friendly.!!! everyone asked where we got the cake from of course well all told them, and recommend they all get there cakes from Hume's.!!! thank you all for the lovely cake.!!!
