Excellent selection of pub food. Tasty home cooked food at very good prices. Good selection of lager and beers. Very friendly staff and owner. Lively atmosphere.
Went several times whilst staying in area as we didn't think we would find anywhere better locally.

Pity about the tatty state of the beer garden though, which might put potential customers off, because otherwise it could be a first rate pub.
Spacious very nice historical photos depicting when trains ran past the pub. Had fish and chips. Chips where nice and hot. quality of potato's was substandard as well was the batter. Fish was a large piece quality of the fish was poor. Prices where very resionabe.
What a genuinely lovely little pub! We visited whilst on holiday near by. Covid cautious and masks worn, one way system and table service in place. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, treated everyone as though you were a local. Despite being a busy Saturday evening, the staff were attentive and our food received in good time. The food was piping hot and delicious. I would've loved to have dessert, but the lasagna was so well portioned, it filled me up enough. Would visit again!

We stopped here twice while in the area fishing and would highly recommend.
I’ve been here a couple times now and it has a lovely versatile menu and the service is always great. Highly recommend to come here if you’re passing through or nearby.
Looks slightly run down but don't be put off, the owner is chef and produces really good pub food wholesome very well cooked and presented in a pub atmosphere. Will go again when down in that part of the world.

We had a lovely time visiting the junction inn, we had the chicken burger and BBQ ribs, the food was the best pub food we have had. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The atmosphere is wonderful, a proper local pub where everyone knows everyone and they are all very friendly towards anyone who comes through the door.
Definitely recommend a visit when you are in the area 11/10
