The chubby caucus female that works mostly the night shift…she picks and chooses who to be nice to…rather than be nice to everyone…I come in all the time spend lots of money here…she’s making my experience awful. Sorry you have to work at 7-11…You could have been great working as Oscar on Sesame Street.

I’ve sat on this for 3 days, letting my feelings settle. Now, i’m ready to let loose. This past Sunday (1/10/21), i stopped at the Kecoughtan/Powhatan Pkwy 7/11 to gas up. The time was 5:15 pm. I always pay with cash, so i had to go inside before pumping. As i approached the entrance, there was a rather tall (i’d guess 6 ft(ish)) black young man standing outside the door. Because of my path, i passed likely within 5ft in front of him. If he had any kind of uniform on, it wasn’t obvious. I thought he was just hanging around. So, i enter the store and there’s no one in there, at least that i can see. I stand there, i’d guess 15/20 seconds and no one appears. Then, outside, a young lady approaches the door. Now, the young man goes into action. He actually holds the door open for her, moves rather quickly around the counter and actually speaks to me in a kind of friendly voice. Of course, he’s way late in attempting to make a good impression on me. I’m totally convinced that, had it not been for the lady, he would’ve continued to make me wait. By the way, i saw no indication of his taking a smoke break — he was just standing outside. I’m white, he’s black — could that have been the reason? —i think so absolutely. Now, store owner/franchisee, are you actually going to accept this? Training obviously is not going to help— a six- year old innately knows better. The man needs to find out there are consequences to really stupid business decisions by an employee. So, i buy gas there on an ongoing basis — you’re my primo spot — but, i can stop at a half-dozen places between home and my business (and i will do my best to try and influence no small number of Wythe friends/neighbors). So, do you want my/our business or not?

I really can't give it any stars. There was a 99cent promotion on a cherry pie. So I picked up a cherry pie off the counter. It ringed up another price. I brought it to the attention of Nicole, the cashier. Her immediate reply its out of my hands. Then she got hostile, when I ask her why the price was different, asking her if the promotion ended. With a belligerent attitude she stated its for the morning when its hot that the pie. I asked why she is getting nasty with a customer. She stated to me that she don't care. So I asked her (not sure if this applies) can she fix me one of the 99ct cherry pie item, the correct item for that price. She grudgingly agreed, stating "you asking too much". Mind you, I was the only customer in the store, it was a little after 12am. Then she made the remark "you going to take what I give you", when I advise her that she shouldn't treat customers so poorly. My exact words were, "Its not cool to treat people any kind of way, (in a defeated voice) I just want a cherry pie".
