Friendly down to earth staff. Food was really good. Generous portions - we were too full to have dessert
Not had food since it changed hands but intend to. Nice pub in a hilltop village. Large garden with a view. Good atmosphere inside with friendly and chatty bar staff. Nice, warm log-burner in the main area adds to the atmosphere. Advise booking in advance for food at weekends. We'll be back.

It was miserable weather, but the fire in the pub was roaring and the staff very welcoming as usual. We had a most delicious Cumberland sausage, mash and vegetables from the specials board, at a very good price. The chefs really are good! There were quite a few people in and a nice atmosphere. Perfect for a relaxed evening.
Very friendly staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was great, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The desserts were absolutely delicious and the perfect way to finish the meal. Lovely atmosphere too, relaxed …
Large pub in a quiet location. Good selection of drinks with attentive staff. Comfy or regular seats, outdoor area, seperate restaurant area.
