Just had a lovely afternoon tea (we got this as a gift voucher) and it was absolutely delicious.
First you choose your drinks, you get a cordial drink where many flavours can be chosen I had the rhubarb option whilst my partner had an elderflower one. You also get tea or coffee of your choosing too.
Food was excellent and plenty of it to share. I'm sure it was all handmade and local too from which the selection consisted of: variety of classic sandwiches, warm sausage rolls, cheese sticks, scones with cream and jam, cake slices, shortbread and more! (See picture attached)
Overall a wonderfully welcoming experience and all of the staff are polite. Even during this outbreak they are meticulous in routine but regardless of that I would highly recommend visiting if you have the chance 5*
Amazing breakfast, friendly staff, good atmosphere along with a clean, pleasant environment. In my view worth every penny of the £9.... Not many places give you the whole package in one experience. Highly recommended.
Beautiful breakfast, and great customer service. Felt very welcome, lovely little shop too. Very yummy pancakes!
Fantastic breakfast, proper cup of tea, friendly staff and for us most importantly dog friendly ,visited twice in 3 days. Will return again when staying in the area
Great service and food very good quality. Highly recommended. The breakfast selection is very good and lovely enjoyed by the grapevine out on the terrace. A perfect little entrap at this time of the year. We normally take our children and they are always well catered for and the kitchen are happy to make anything a child's meal.
My go-to place for breakfast! Very popular so be prepared to wait (not long) for a table. The menu is innovative and service is very good. In good weather it is lovely to sit outside in a country setting but close to the main road for easy access. There's a car park at the back and additional parking at the front. Local produce is on sale in the shop.
We had a lovely, family Sunday lunch here today. The food was freshly cooked and the service was good. Despite being full we picked up some extra cakes to take home. Good, honest, home cooking. Nice.
Not the cheapest breakfast I have ever had but definitely up there with the best. Had the small Farmers Breakfast, wouldn't like to attempt the large one. Lovely sausage and bacon. Very friendly staff and clean and tidy restaurant, highly recommended.
The homemade scones are delicious definitely worth a visit
What a lovely find... Just back from a wonderful Sunday morning cooked breakfast with my family. Fabulous food, kids catered for, fried bread cooked to perfection. Pot for the beans! Always a winner. Lovely sunny room, felt very relaxed. Staff - 10/10. Then when you go to pay there is a surprise little shop with very well chosen, locally sourced goodies... Apart from the Cornish rum my husband couldn't say no to! All in all, this place has got it spot on. Well worth a visit!!!
