Yet another lovely meal on Sunday afternoon. The pub was very busy but the meals were perfect and all came out together. Thoroughly recommend the food and staff are always really friendly.

Went here for a meal with some friends yesterday & was so impressed with the food. Complete compliments to the chef, we all loved every course. I have never reviewed anything but felt I had to. Staff were lovely as well. Will definitely be back. Thank you all for a lovely evening

Coming from London we were on the search for a country pub with delicious food and this pub 100% hit the spot. Super well priced for the portion size. At first we were a bit put off by the wait time, but as soon as our food came we realised why we had waited a little longer than usual. The meal was clearly home made and just what we were in need of. As a vegetarian I had the pie and I can safely say its one of the best meals I’ve eaten in a long while. My partner had the steak pie and he was pleasantly surprised with the portion size (coming from the city where a small slice is ££££). Puddings were also amazing and the staff were wonderful. Genuinely couldn’t recommend this pub more!

This is one of those gems tucked away for those in the know. Sorry I didn’t take photos of the food. I was starving and it was so good. Reasonable prices with friendly staff looking after you. Even a bit of banter at the bar. I had a lovely evening. The setting outside is relaxed, shaded, well lit looks clean and inviting. They are putting some effort into appearance and ambiance. Seriously I would take my mum or my mates here you can’t go wrong. Can’t wait to go back

The food was amazing! Best I've had in a long time. The Yorkshire pud was real and not plastic like some places, so good. Staff were brilliant, nice log fire, very good price for huge portions. My first time here, definitely not my last.

Thanks to everyone at the Plume of Feathers for making us all feel so welcome and so comfortable as the family celebrated our parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary. The food and the service was great - something for everyone and nothing was too much trouble. The singing when the cake was brought out was a nice touch! 😂 I would thoroughly recommend!

A frequent go-to place for a quiet but excellent long lunch. Food is always good, large or small portions from a menu of lunchtime specials as well as 3 course meals. Staff are always helpful and friendly, particularly Alison who makes sure we can get a good place to sit according to the weather and goes the extra mile (good ice cream!!!)

Knocked one star off due to the baby changed facility. They have done the absolute best with what they have, though. Amazing pie. Lovely pub.

We had lunch last Thursday. I had the chicken on flatbread that was delicious but a little too much for me to finish. My husband and my brother in law both went for the liver that they both said was a little chewy and gristly. They still cleared their plates. Always a great place to lunch.

Since I live somewhere, where vegetarian options have not been invented yet :) the veggie menu was amazing! I had the homemade vegetarian pie with mash & gravy... super delicious. Service great, very nice atmosphere for a family lunch.

I have been coming to the plume on and off over the past 10+ years. It has the look and feel of a local pub and has gone from strength to strength. Always a good selection of drinks and a great selection of food, and good prices. Recently took my Mum for lunch, she had liver and bacon (there is no accounting for taste) and I had the burger with blue cheese and onion rings. Perfection, with a side of proper chips, it made the perfect lunch stop on a busy day. Each time I eat there, I always say I should eat there more frequently. Well worth a look if you are near Harlow and looking for a quality lunch.
