Food is excellent as too is the service but we did not see a traditional Italian dish we liked on the menu so we asked about it and were told no problem we will make it for you.
Only down side is the restaurant is closed on Sundays.

Can't rate it highly enough - have been coming here since it opened over 13 years ago. Great food, fantastic value, friendly service and wonderful with children.
One of the friendliest staff group I’ve ever met in a restaurant, flexible service and cozy atmosphere. Free bread and no service charge. Extremely generous with cheese when serving the pasta…High recommend after a long day.
Food could be more picky on its ingredients. The mushroom in this pasta’s acceptable but not quite ideal. Favouring is classic but not very impressive.

I went with a large group of people, with alot of different dietary needs, which were all catered for appropriately, and it was all delicious. The service was great and the staff very friendly.

Our party compriced of 6 adults & 4 children rangjng from 2yrs - 8, so bit noisy & mad, but the waiters were fantastic, patient , marvellous. Thankyou. Smashing early evening meal. , food fantastic too of course.
Visited many times and always impressed with the food as well as the staff. Easy parking by the building and a warm welcome into the resturant.

Good choice of dishes, and not extortionately priced. Same for the wines. Pizzas' are okay,no more, but some of the main courses are quite good.

I arrived early and was greeted with a smile from the host. I had made a special request for the reservation and this was catered for perfectly.
Within the first 5 minutes I was made to feel comfortable by the host, greeting me personally and conversing with me about the nature of my meal.
I ordered a drink whilst I waited for my co-diner and this was delivered promptly and professionally by the well mannered bar staff.
Bread and olives provided for the table, table water offered at the same time as drinks orders were taken.
We were attended to regularly throughout our meal. We were both very happy with the food and I found the beef particularly soft and tender and the sauce full of rich flavour.
As we waited for the bill we were the last diners in the restroom and we were made to feel very comfortable as a round of limoncello was delivered to the table.
Al Bivio have mastered the art of providing a fine-dining, authentic experience while maintaining a discreet family atmosphere.
If you are looking for a venue for a birthday dinner, office drinks, nervous first date we would love to recommend Al Bivio.

What a fabulous place to meet and eat with friends and family! A broad menu of genuinely lovingly prepared italian food. The pride of everyone on the staff in their place of work and the quality of the food is evident from the moment you arrive. Customers of all ages are made to feel welcome and there is a constant stream of repeat visitors who seem to be on first name terms with the team.
The peperoncini ripieni were a delicious start to the evening, followed by the lightest and crispiest pizza I've had in many a month. Suffice it to say that getting the small things right like excellent ingredients and a passion for their product ends up with something rather special. I shall definitely be returning with family soon!
Had a starter and a mains both I couldn't finish, you get a lot of food for not much cost. Really recommended if you are staying at the Premier Inn next door.
