Great place and superb menu and food. Been to both Harrogate and York and would recommend either and suggest they open a place in Leeds.

Excellent food and great service. Not your average restaurant, a bit pricey but worth it. Lots of choice on the menu. Did not like the service charge automatically added to our bill. We would've definitely given a generous tip but that should be a customer's choice.

Great place to visit for a nice breakfast. Recommended for anyone looking for great quality food and a great quality service from the staff.
After standing in the line for what seemed like ages we finally managed to get a seat - we didn't go for the afternoon tea but decided to order coffee, china tea and cake! Though everything tasted good but i found the place a bit over priced! Will still go next time but to try the afternoon tea for which it is famous for..
One of THE reasons for travelling to Harrogate, this place encapsulates all things good and genteel. The silver tea service, overlooking the adjoining greenery is delightful, with attentive, personable and interested staff. I love this place. The array of sweet offerings is all too much, and the quality of the savoury treats and more substantial provisions are of the highest standard. EIIR would feel not out of place.
We went on the off chance on a Friday afternoon to have afternoon tea. There was a small queue which was managed efficiently and we were seated within about 5 mins. The tea rooms were very busy but we were served attentively with a lovely quality afternoon tea. The room is very tastefully decorated and kept clean and tidy as part of their busy routines. We observed an efficient tidy up behind a young family without any fuss. The ladies rest room is very clean and tidy. I think this is a barometer of the quality of the venue. I would definitely recommend this for a treat and don't be put off if there is a small queue.
As you may have read in this previous blog post, I recently spent the weekend up in North Yorkshire where my mum lives, and where I grew up as a child. . On my last day, before begrudgingly catching the train back down to London, we decided to go for Afternoon Tea at Bettys Tearoom in Harrogate. I had taken my mum to Afternoon Tea at Harrods last year as a Mother’s Day treat and we enjoyed it so much – I think it’s a lovely way for mums and daughters to have cake and a catch-up! Apparently Afternoon Tea was first invented by The Langham Hotel in London and they are marking the 150th anniversary this year.
Good Food But Pricey. Always lines out the door for Betty's for their posh status. Really good food, but a bit heavy if you fancy that for decent prices but some think it is a bit much. Known for their tea but you can always buy tea and go.
A must have tea experience. In addition, a great shop to bring some of Betty's delicious speciality teas back home.
Who Wants to Be a Fatty?. Is Betty's popular? Yes. Will you wait in line sometimes? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. As usual, there's a reason a popular place is popular. Plus, because Betty's gets a lot of traffic, your pastry is guaranteed to be fresh. I shamefully admit that I go to the bakery shop several times a week...to get a dainty, pink girly little thing called a Sponge Fondant. If it tastes good enough for me to sacrifice both my masculinity and waistline, it's got to be worth it. Oh, and the Vanilla Slice (which will also make you a fat lardo), is also delicious. If you're in Harrogate, don't miss Betty's!
Yum! A lovely place for a special treat. Wonderful range of cakes, teas and coffees. Can get ridicously busy at lunch. Good atmosphere and good service, it's a traditional tea shop in the 20th century.
Nice to visit but wouldn't go back unless pre booked a table in restaurant. Cafe is packed and you queue around block for anything to an hour but food is very nice and service is excellent.
I loved it! I had a beautiful cream tea and I could of had about 4 cups of tea from the teapot! I really enjoyed it and it was worth the money, £7.95 for cream tea with 2 scones. It's not as expensive as tea in st marks square in Venice!
Excellent. And it's not as expensive as most make out!
Prepare to queue. Yes a bit pricey but if you have time and money then you must go once.
Great atmosphere. Bettys might be a bit pricey but it's great value and a British institution! Try to find a time when the live pianist is playing and soak up the atmosphere.
Pleasant experience visiting the restaurant. It was a birthday, which was indicated when booking, but there was no gesture or word from the restaurant, so it’s not entirely clear why they ask this when booking. The tuna steak was delicious, the sauce went well with all the ingredients.
We had a great evening meal here and the whole experience was much better than we expected. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff and shown to a table in the window, which was spacious and clean. The friendly service continued throughout as well as being professional. The menu has a wide enough range of food to suit most without being overbearing, and the drink options are equally as varied, with some more exclusive options for champagne at reasonable prices.
The French onion soup starter was a good size and there were plenty of pieces of calamari with a tasty dip. The duck leg was presented well and the fish pie had a good amount of fish in, although it would perhaps have been better to swap the large prawns for smaller ones in order to get more of those in too. Service time was great with each dish tasting fresh.
Champagne was presented with a bucket of ice and it was easy enough getting the attention of staff for refills of soft drinks. Deserts were presented as well as the mains, particularly the chocolate tart. It was especially nice to see some desert wines available on the menu which were served in good sizes. Toilets were upstairs and a bit of a trek but they were spacious and clean like everywhere else.
Overall a very enjoyable evening experience and I will certainly be returning!
Lovely meal here at Cote. The staff were all friendly, we were seated and served quickly. We got the fixed price menu, 3 courses for £20, great value for the quality! Companions also enjoyed their meals.
Our first time dining at Côte but definitely not our last, and not disappointed at all. The three of us ate off the fixed price menu which was excellent value for money, all the menu's are on line and what was nice is that the food came out looking as good as the photos on the menu. It's well worth giving it a go.
We went for breakfast, lovely welcome, and shown to our table. Menus came swiftly as did our coffee. Unfortunately our order was missed and we sat for quite a while. On realising the issue, the manager dealt with the situation swiftly and curiously.
When the food came, it was delicious.
Would recommend even though we had an issue.
1st time here for Mt partner birthday.
Table for 4 from entering the restaurant the experience was fabulous 👌
We had a 3 course meal pate, scallops
Cow cheek for mains
Cheese board & mini desserts red wine etc
The host was fantastic looked after our needs , was very friendly, helpful
The food was superb 10/10
Highly recommended
Thank you Sean
My wife is very allergic to nuts, our waitress Alina made it the most enjoyable dining experience for us as soon as we got there she came to see us showed us the allergens and went through the menus. She was very helpful, she knew everything asked us about Epi pens and reassured us. Would highly recommend Cote and especially Alina!!
Had a lovely lunch here today with a group of ladies (8 in total). Service was really good, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Food excellent. All in all very enjoyable lunch.
We booked at Côte for a group of 20 to celebrate my daughter's 21st Birthday and were not disappointed. The staff, food, service and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic and the menu and prices excellent. We will definitely be using this venue again in the future and would highly recommend it without hesitation. Thank you, Côte, and especially Eliana you were wonderful.
We had a wonderful lunch in Cote Harrogate. It was quiet when we arrived which afforded us the opportunity to pick a table we wanted. The food was standard Cote and the service exemplary. It was a good around dining experience
Lovely, relaxed place for food. And with a breakfast menu I didn't know about! French breakfast wth really sweet boudin noir went down very nicely. And though the tea isn't local (bit of a faux pas for Harrogate) it's a good brew and quite plentiful.
I visited this restaurant as a date night with my other half and the Food was out of this world along with the staff being exceptionally friendly who ensured our visit was enjoyable. They dealt with my food intolerance in a professional manner and never made me feel like it was a problem. The staff had a laugh and a joke with us and the vibe within the restaurant was warm and friendly. I would 100% go again and I've already recommended it to family and friends.
Just a wonderful dining experience.
Excellent food
Very good service
Lovely atmosphere...
The restaurant was full when we visited but we still had exceptionally good and personal service. We ate from the Prix Fixe menu, taking advantage of the extension of hours during January, and the value for money was excellent.
Food was fantastic good ambiance. Staff are friendly and helpful!
Great French restaurant. The staff were really attentive. The food was sensational! Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful food and excellent service. Staff is very attentive. Will definitely go back.
The food had always been great, but it was exceptionally delicious during our latest visit.
Staff are also lovely and helpful every time.
Very nice welcome and service. Delicious food. Didn't feel like a national chain. Thank you 😊
