Lovely restaurant, looks great. Loads of seating and nice outdoor area with pond. The food was good, but could be better. Had the dirty burger which I liked the beef dripping with it to dip the burger in, nice touch had to use a knife and fork with the burger as it is messy. The patty wasn’t the flavourful also felt like it was missing a side of coleslaw or something additional.
Went on a surprisingly quiet Friday night a couple of weeks ago. Loads of seating options, staff really chill about where we could sit which was nice, only went in for some drinks and nibbles but the places was gorgeous, loved the interiors, food was amazing and just such nice service from everyone. Really want to go back!
The food is good, staff very attentive. Venue deco and building is beautiful. Real flowers on the table and real fireplace. Definitely will come back again.
We both had the buttermilk chicken burger and it probably the best chicken burger I’ve ever had. Staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Desserts were delicious (sticky toffee pudding and trio of cheesecakes). A bit more expensive than average pub meals but the food and atmosphere were far better than average. Would highly recommend.
A long established restaurant and hotel on the edge of Harrogate town.
It's a beautiful building with plenty of character. The interior is well furnished in an interesting style (not sure about the neon elements). It is not particularly noisy, even when busy.
Service is friendly and professional. We didn't need to wait too long for the food, although it was fairly quiet at the time.
The menus have a good mix of dishes and should appeal to most. Vegan and vegetarian are clearly marked.
The food... Overall it was very good, nicely flavoured and well presented. One of our group had the roast chicken dish. Unfortunately the chicken was rather dry and some of the vegetables weren't hot.
Still happy to recommend and we will be back in the future.
Delicious food, excellent Sunday roast of pork belly, probably the best sticky toffee pudding I’ve had all year and amazing chocolate melting bomb thing!! (I could have eaten it twice over!)
A very nice pub with a garden as impressive as the building itself. We were only there for a drink but the member of bar staff was welcoming, chatty and fast with the service. All the interior decor is clean and modern but the garden is a wonderful space. Although no one else was sat there, the sound of running water in the pond is relaxing and it feels like living in your own country manor! Plenty of seating and tables suitable for groups are also present.
It’s not the cheapest of pubs but for a more special occasion I’d certainly return.
We went here for a Sunday roast and it was lovely. Tucked in a cosy corner with the dog. The large pub doubled up as a hotel. The staff were attentive. Special call out for the nut roast, one of the best I’ve ever had as I tend to find them dry. The pork was lovely as well
Great experience on a Sunday night. Excellent service, orders taken quickly but not rushed. Food arrived in good time and was delicious. Desserts also lovely.
The food was very nice and all but one guest had no issues, which for a party of 17 was pretty good. We did address the problem with the food (steak) and it was rectified quickly enough. We did feel a little out of the way but given the size of our party that couldn’t be helped. Drinks service was a touch slow but didn’t impact on the meal. Overall enjoyable.
Beautiful building, lovely decorated and atmosphere is great. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly and cocktails were great.
We came for Mothers days which was a set menu. lovely area, pub, decoration and service.
The only part which let it down a little was not having an item or 2 on the plate which was stated on the menu. This happened on my main and my dessert, it was rectified immediately by a staff member on the dessert and the waiter went and gave us the missing items of the main to go with our home box of food. The trio of roasts would be far better with just a chicken breast or leg meat rather than on the bone, and the crackling was so densely deep fried it was unable to be eaten. But looked very good.
Overall we were extremely happy with the meal, the service and the comforts of the pub interior. A lot of thought and time has gone into the interior design which is very unique and quaint. It was very comforting and a pleasure to be there.
We will definitely be back and I have recommended to many already.
The Pine Marten is Fantastic, the building inside looks stunning!
The service me and my family had was one of the best i have ever had.
For food I opted for the 'dirty burger' which definitely lives up to its name and was brilliant.
Thank you to the team at Pine Marten for a brilliant experience, I will be back, and if you haven't been, I highly suggest you go.
We had such a lovely experience at the Pine Marten. Its a stunning building with gorgeous decor. The food was fabulous, especially the belly pork! Would recommend to families or anyone wanting a nice relaxed lunch in a lovely place!
Stayed for 2 nights with friends, excellent food staff friendly and efficient. waited 30 minutes for breakfast as 6 of us sat together and no buffet of cereals fresh fruit etc but cooked breakfast excellent when it arrived
Whilst in the UK, this has to be one of the best British experiences by far and I'm pretty sure we found Harrogates hidden gem!
We had a pretty dope vegan feast, extremely filling fit for a king and super yummy! The Vegan Nourish Bowl was an absolute knockout, extremely vibrant, fresh, colorful and bursting with flavor. The entire experience was great, even down to the aesthetics and plates used was such a great vibe.
A cool, traditional and quaint joint absolutely bustling with locals which is a definete reflection on it being the best spot in the area for some post hiking grub! This place is literally like a modern day decor'd castle or fortress. More than ample comfortable, cosy and trendy seating including a huge outdoor yard area with water features and a great sunny drinking spot.
Support local businesses!
Probably up there with the best Sunday roasts iv had. The gravy was 10/10 might come back for a boat load for me to freeze forever. Whoever made that deserves a gravy medal
Great food, great decor and great service.
This was our first baby free evening since having a baby and I also had my baby shower back here in November :)
