Squinting Cat, Greene King - Harrogate - Photo album

The Squinting Cat has been our local for many, many years and has changed a lot over the years. Happy to report the new management seems to be a breath of fresh air. We visited this evening for the first time in a while for our daughter’s birthday. The staff were very welcoming, helpful, and lovely
Booked a table, not really needed as it was lovely and quiet. Decided to have our first bar meal out since the pandemic began. Staff were friendly, approachable and relaxed. Atmosphere was a bit like a library but we needed the peace and quiet ❤️ We ordered hand battered fish and chips (with peas)
Great value for money a little disappointed that the sizzling meal didn't come on a sizzling rack, apparently they had no onions ?. But it was served on a plate perfectly cooked generous size gammon very enjoyable. It has recently installed a new manager and staff and as a regular visitor here i mu
We called in at the squinting cat for a quick meal before visiting Harrogate ,The pub was clean and staff friendly ,The food was okay, similar to Wetherspoons , and reasonably priced ,it has a nice outside area which would be good in summer, we would come again for a cheap quick meal.
Great place if you are looking for affordable food. Has a good pub vibe and is family friendly.
Staying here overnight in our Motorhome in btm car park , lovely pub had a meal and a few drinks all good at a reasonable price. Very quiet overnight , woke up to see squirrels climbing trees next to us. Definitely would recommend just booked through Greene booking system & asked to stay via the add
great place to visit. Loads of parking. The new management are brilliant. 100% better than the shambles it was with the old manager. People don’t like change even when it’s for the better. Recommend the cask ales.
Lovely environment x friendly staff x makes sure you are happy and have a good laugh with you. Really good food and good prices. Me and dad had the food challenges. 16 wings challenge and chick'n'mix challenge and we both ate them. Photo below is the chicken one I ate and I did pretty well
First time I'd been in this pub. Only stayed for a couple of drinks but the food looked lovely. If I go to this pub again I will definitely have a meal there.
Midweek treat. The combined offer makes it great value. The gammon is always good, she had the Jamaican Stew but was shy of letting me take a snap !
