I went to Debenhams solely to change some pounds into euros. The rate wasn't as good as when I'd looked online moments earlier but he at least did do me the online rate, which wasn't too bad. It became really good though when he gave me a £5 voucher off shopping over £20 provided I used it that day. So I had a look around and finally made a start on my Christmas shopping. With the discount voucher and other offers in-store I was able to save 45% off my shopping total. Not bad a few minutes' effort.

Great store with plenty of helpful staff on hand to answer any questions. The only fault is alot of stairs to climb which maybe a problem for some hence the 4 star rating. I have seen bigger sections in some Debenhams but it was about right for thr size of the town .
Its definitely worth a visit but be prepared for stairs!! I think they was a small lift there too but cant be sure.
A lovely neat well presented and well stocked department store with lots of choice. Not many of these lovely shops left in our towns now. Found lots of bargains at very good prices.
Myself and my family have been holidaying in Harrogate over the past few days and visited your restaurant twice for breakfast. Each time the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was piping hot and beautifully arranged. We felt that it was great value for money and really tasty. A real treat and on a par with any upmarket restaurant where you would pay twice as much. Will definitely be back next time we visit Harrogate. You're doing a great job ladies! 😁
A great selection of clothes. I particularly like the Mantaray brand. The cut, the feel of the materials they use and the colour of their various ranges. I bought a winter coat in green due the quality of their product after searching in Marks and Spencers, Primark and Next and not finding anything i would want to spend my money on.
The service staff were helpful and not obtrusive, which i like, i am an independent shopper and like to browse without too much interaction in the process. Would recommend highly.
The staff were helpful and the food was delicious. All of the tables were clean. The food was well cooked and they were worth their money. The only thing I would suggest is that they should have some more leather seats avaliable.
Recently bought a nice lightweight John Rocha jacket. You have to visit this store once a fortnight as one week they won't have anything in and then the next they will have some stock and you will find something worth buying.
It's never been "cool" I don't think but Debenhams is always dependable. Since my teenage years I have often gone shopping with an idea in my head of what I want and having been unable to find it elsewhere been surprised to find that last resort boring old Debenhams has just what I want. Maybe I'm their perfect customer and I've just been in denial! Given their recent financial woes there is a good chance yet another familiar institution will disappear from the high Street but I will continue to enjoy them for now.
Trafford Centre - Great selection of items, brands and styles. Clothing, make up, perfume, electrical, home, sports, baby goods, cafe etc. Over 2 floors (poss 3?)with escalators and lifts. £-£££s.
Altrincham - on 2 floors with lift, escalator and stairs. Light and spacious although it can get hot. Clothing - women's mostly, selection of men's and limited children's; makeup, perfume, shoes, bags, gift sets, small selection of household/kitchen items. Friendly staff.
