Our family have been patrons for many years. Black Pepper is Hatch End's finest for best quality meat and fish dishes, the most competent, friendly and genuinely welcoming staff. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Great experiences for over Three Years. Black Pepper - I have dined over three years at this restaurant, the owners both know me well as do their staff who might be shy initially but once they know you and you are polite and smile back they can not do enough for you as a customer. The Lobster pasta dish is the special secret on the menu. For my birthday they even sent me a special bottle of rose wine for my loyalty over the years, really made my night. The staff are perhaps misunderstood but they are warm and friendly, just get stressed when they are busy like with any job. The food is usually fresh and prompt. My only problem is when they sell out of the Lobster!! I tried the Mushoom risotto last week and it was fabulous my firends wished they had Black Pepper near to where they lived, they loved the loud atmosphere and great choice of music... Bravo!!

Best Restaurant in the area. We had organised a private party for 20 and thought the food was excellent, very friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere. Evereyone in the party thoroughily enjoyed the evening.
Excellent for what I was looking for locally. Very surprised to read the reviews about the staff. I have been there four times now in the last couple of months and had the manager has come and said hello each time and the staff were really friendly.
The restaurant was really noisy on the Fridays that we went, but that was kind of what we were looking for. I guess it is down to what you are looking for.
Most importantly, the food here seems really fresh and the menu is quite varied. The spaghetti lobster is to die for.
Good quality contempory cuisine, modern boutique style interior, tables a little too closely packed perhaps, small cocktail bar area at front.
My family and I had lunch today(23/02/19) we all went for 2 course lunch menu....£13.95. The food was amazing for all of us. Really good quality and very tasty. The dessert was not included however, i had chocolate brownie with ice cream. The dessert was out of this world! We will definitely go back in the near future. The staff are friendly esp. with children. Thank you Black Pepper!
Smart restaurant. Friendly helpful staff. The food was delicious. I had the calves liver, it was perfectly cooked and plenty of it. Good choice on menue. Will definitely be coming again. Best meal out I've had for ages
We really enjoyed the food, the appetizers, dinner and dessert was really great. The staff was really friendly and Service was great. We had a great evening. The prices were quite reasonable. Looking forward to going again in the future.
This restaurant is just excellent. Great food and a wonderful ambience. They have a vast menu too. Service is not bad at all. Cocktails are great. Good location. Decent parking.
My first appearance at this restaurant was amazing, due to their flavorful food, great drinks and wonderful service, as well as the attentive staff who were very approachable when we wanted to order more drinks. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, as it was getting more lively by the minute.

Have not tried the food but have been told it is very nice. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the service was great. The owner is a nice friendly gentleman who loves his golf.

Went to black pepper last night with a friend, our meals were delicious, plentiful , and cooked to perfection. The staff very nice and attentive. However there was a 97th birthday celebration while there which was lovely, lively, but that wasn't the problem. There was a singer there also who was either deaf or didn't realise how loud he was singing, it was horrendous! No one could talk as you couldn't hear each other and I'm sure the decibel rating was illegal it was SO loud. It spoilt an otherwise lovely evening. My friend and I had to catch up with our news outside in the cold after we had left! If the birthday girl wasn't already deaf when she arrived she certainly was after the evening was over as my friend and I were!!
Booked the small room for twenty to celebrate 80th Birthday.
Staff were courteous and served us well. Food was excellent and served within no time. Everybody enjoyed the food
