A sharming experience after a long day of visiting London!! It is a must for me to visit this restaurant. The staff is hospitable, and the food is very delicious, spicy and succulent! One course is sufficient for three persons at a time!!!!

Great family-run restaurant. We went with some of their suggested Afghan dishes which we hadn't even tried before, and loved them. Portions were very big, but they were happy to pack things up. Definitely recommend finishing off with Afghan green tea, which they suggested for us Thanks again!

Balkh is so nice. Been over 3 times now. Food is always fresh and tasty. Service is good. It never let's me or my family down

Good food, good portion sizes, and friendly staff. Everything was a bit oily for my liking, even the salad greens and rice, but that’s just a personal preference. Would definitely come back!

We came here to break our fast and the Iftar buffet was incredible. The set menu had a lot of delicious options which they kept really well stocked, the restaurant atmosphere was very nice throughout, it was well kept, clean and the food was always piping hot! Not many vegetarian options but they had a number of veggie cold and hot things to choose from if you didn’t eat meat - really great experience and I’ll definitely be coming here again!

We were 9 people once we visited Balkh restaurant, nearly each one of us has different meal from the other. Each meal is a recommendation on its one. The staff is very friendly and very generous. Very very recommend.

The best Afghani food I’ve had in london at @balkhrestaurant in Kenton. The last time I had Afghan food this good was in Munich in 2019! I was mega hungry after cycling for 90 mins and doing 4 1/2 hours of climbing. In ordered the Qabli Palow (lamb shank with rice) and Mantu (Lamb Dumpling). Both were generous portions and absolutely delicious. I had Dough (yogurt based) to drink. Service was friendly and professional. They also gave me a little bit of home made ice cream on the house. Definitely be returning here again soon.
