One of my favorite Chinese place and the place is amazing the food is good and the staff is so friendly and you will never be disappointed..
Abalone is expensive so this dish was not cheap and its something I will only be ordering the one time. I liked it. The abalone was soft and well cooked.
I thought that this place would be a far cry from being great after reading negative reviews. However, much to my surprise, it wasn't! Having been seated just as we entered, we were also asked if we could be served with some jasmine tea. Such luxury! We ordered a dim sum which has always been our favourite. Along with this, we got an accomplishment of rice and a pork bun portion. It was immensely enjoyable. The only foiling factor was the exorbitant service charge which we were asked to pay. Other than that, it was a perfect experience!
I have been to other branches of this restaurant already so therefore my expectations were high from this one as well as I have always loved eating out at this restaurant. But this branch turned out to be a disappointment for me. Prompt and efficient service but there is a room for improvement in terms of quality and texture of their food.
This place does some really good cooking when it comes to Cantonese style food. The quality of the food seems top-notch. Although the food is really good in terms of other Chinese restaurants but it does not really stand out in any way from the crowd. So if you want a safe and good option for Cantonese food, this is the place to be. If you are looking for something extraordinary, you can find better options.
The food was really good. I would recommend you all to go have a family meal or a meal for two. The meal was absolutely brilliant. The service was up to the mark and they served a number of combinations of food and drinks. The prices were also in a reasonable range when considered what we had in our meal.
This joint is known for the quality they showcase in their food. We ordered the crispy aromatic duck in starters and pancakes. The rest of the dishes ordered did not disappoint. Specially the duck and the fish. The downside was the service, which was quite poor. They seemed to be unable to handle the crowd. The desserts were also disappointing. It is also on the costlier end of the spectrum.
This place will provide you with the best dim sum that you ever had in your life. If you can deal with the slow service of the staff and lack of experience then do give this place a visit and you won't be disappointed.
The manager was very helpful and the portions of the food was also very satisfying.
I would definitely recommend this place.
This is a great place to have both lunch and dinner. They offer a large variety of choices for both meals, and the lunch time dim sums are some of the best I have had. Service is also decent, but can be a little inattentive at times. But whatever the restaurant lacks in terms of service, it makes up in terms of the quality of food. I have always loved the Chinese here, and recommend it to everybody.
The first thing I ordered were the pork puff- they were served extremely hot and crispy, just the way I prefer. These triangles of flaky pastry augmented with generous amounts of lard, and stuffed with sweet an spicy strands of barbecued meat. Although nothing can match the authenticity of a dish in its actual homeland, but these were some of the beset available outside.
A friend invited me and another friend to a birthday meal. She ordered a variety of food. The service was great. You don't have to wait too long after your order for food. Their food is very nice we enjoyed it very much. A very vibrant atmosphere.
It’s a bummer that there is no dim sum after 5pm. The BBQ pork is good. The aubergine with minced prawns is a bit oily. Available dessert is a bit limited.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Golden Chinese in Harrow, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The chef at this restaurant has truly mastered the art of creating mouthwatering dim sums that are simply finger-licking good, especially their supreme vegetarian option. The flavors were exquisite, and each bite was a delightful blend of textures and spices.
During my visit, our group was lucky to have the assistance of a waiter named Wendy, who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional. Her attentive and friendly nature made us feel welcome, and she was particularly helpful to one of our members who spoke Chinese. Wendy's ability to bridge the language barrier and provide excellent service added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal.
Moving on to dessert, I must admit that the mango dish was just alright. While it was satisfying, it didn't quite reach the same level of excellence as the dim sums. Nonetheless, it provided a refreshing end to the meal.
Overall, Golden Chinese in Harrow is a restaurant that truly stands out for its outstanding dim sums and the remarkable skills of its chef. The presence of Wendy as our waiter, with her exceptional assistance, further enhanced our dining experience. If you're a fan of flavorful dim sums, this restaurant should definitely be on your list of places to visit.
The food is amazing. Whatever we ordered was like Midas touch.. I would certainly come back again. Neighbourhood gem#best Chinese#elevated Chinese cuisine#small bites#tasty food
One of the better Chinese restaurant. Great food and good selection of dishes. Lobster noodle is mmmmm delicious. Highly recommend.

The mixed meat Crispy fried noodles were fantastic
The mixed seafood and chicken fried rice was great too

We were very happy to pay the bill which was about £49
Great place loved it
Also the warm saki we had was nice...
Service was great! Delicious food arrived quickly, the resturant is nicely decorated, in my opinion it is very authentic! Bathrooms are clean. Only wished there was a bit of music.
I am a regular here for lunch, that dim sum menu is something special. We got the prawn and chive dumplings, prawn dumplings, prawn cheung fun, sesame prawn toast (my favourite), soft shell crab, salt and pepper fried green beans and squid in black bean sauce. The squid wasn’t great as it was too chewy but everyone else was on point and delicious. Make sure to ask for a bowl to mix some soy sauce and chilli oil in! Our total bill was £60 which is reasonable. Came back for dinner, unfortunately they don’t do many dumplings for dinner and one of the servers isn’t the nicest. We got the szichaun prawns which were good but the portion of prawns was quite low. I have amended my rating to 4 stars.
Quiet, clean and good food. Employees are very respectful and the store itself is quite clean compared to other Chinese Restaurants they are very clean. Their soup is very tasty, unlike others that are just pure salty. The atmosphere is kind of dark though, I wish that they would fix the lighting better.
Now here is the reason why it's only 4 and not 5. There is no extravagant about the food or the place. It doesn't stand out which makes you feel like "oh I want to come back." If we are going to scale it. It's between average and good. So yes it's on the good side but I know that you understand what I'm trying to say. It lacks that x-factor that makes you say, okay I will definitely come back. Overall a good experience.
The manager accommodated us on a busy Saturday evening despite having limited tables. The food and service were excellent as usual with my childhood favourite crispy noodles with chicken hitting the spot. Surprisingly it wasn't particularly expensive either. They serve all the traditional Cantonese foods but also cater for those who aren't used to certain foods. The restaurant and toilets probably need a slight freshening up but I still enjoy coming here.
