Update: went back after two weeks and got the vegan roasted veggies crepe with the homemade scotch bonnet sauce. Absolutely divine! ....Most glorious hidden cafe with delicious vegan Carribbean hot chocolate! The view is amazing and you can also enjoy a plethora of art! I'm definitely going back for food. We sat outside and it was stunning.

Revisited this café as I had a pleasant experience previously.
The atmosphere and location are great and the staff are still just as friendly.
I tried their Half English Breakfast this time and didn't have any complaints about the quality of food.
The prices may seem quite high but I think it's to be expected somewhat for the location and that it seems to be an independently run café.
I would happily visit again for a calm, pleasant experience. Everything about it makes you forget that you are situated in London.

We meant to take a pic of the scrumptious toast and scone and butter and jam, but it was so delicious we ate it before we took a pic -sorry!
Lovely coffee shop that also does lunch, atop Harrow on the Hill. And 🐕 dog friendly.
Really nice and calm place to go for a good catch up with a friend. Coffee is good and the crepes ara amazing.
The only downside I find is the draft of cold air, as they have a terrace at the back and the front door open it gets chilly in there.
Just been there again recently and I found it was a rip off. Loose tea leaf £4, pain au chocolat £4 ( they were warmed up and so they dried up, too toasted) and piece of homemade cake guess how much...£4
Then a toastie ( very simple one £6 pounds which seems fair enough or £8 for a provençale one, but how 2 pain au chocolat cost the same as a toastie? Or a tea half the price of a toastie? Not even in the best bakery's in central london you get charged £4 for a pain au chocolat. Sorry but doesn't make sense to me.
Hope all goes well, wish you the best
A really nice place, great atmosphere. A good place to read and relax. A few production problems today maybe, a tad slow, but all good. Very relaxing. Recommended highly.
Love coming here for a breakfast, brunch and lunch! Love the Battels omelette! Such a nice ambience, with gorgeous art surrounding you. Plus there is a beautiful little terrace with views over Harrow on the hill and beyond!
Popped in again recently with the kiddos for a midweek hot chocolate with marshmallows treat, and they really hit the spot! 😋
Food was okay, coffee is good and the staff and service is up to the mark. The ambiance is what draws me there every time, whether the scenic backside terrace or cozy indoors. The French touch really has a charm.
Informal relaxed cafe vibes. Balcony over-looking beautiful formal gardens. Good coffee. Kids enjoy the strawberry milkshake. Recommend the crepes!
Such a lovely place, nice atmosphere, great menu. The balcony gives amazing views. Tea and crepe was perfect, enjoyable visit. Highly recommended
Always a pleasure to go to Battles. The staff are friendly and the food is really lovely (great coffee too). Served always with a smile. It's like a little bit of France in Harrow. Very relaxed atmosphere and it's doggy friendly! What I love most is they give opportunities for local teens and young people to work where other businesses may not, so not just a great café but a small business supporting the young people of the local community and give them a stepping stone to their working life. What's not to like !
Andrew, Pandora and the team get 5 stars.
