I can honestly say that this has been the best Pub food experience I have had for many years.
If you want simple, honest, comforting pub food then the Kings Arms is the place to go
Staff are welcoming and polite and you are greeted with a smile.
This is a very busy , vibrant pub and I would recommend booked to ensure you get a table, we rocked up about 7.10 on a Sunday evening and where very lucky to get the last table available
We had a Cod Burger and Ham egg and chips, I hope the photos do it justice, both were very generous in size and of the highest quality and taste.
Proper real chips cooked to perfection, the cod portion about 2”thick flakey and moist.
Ham was about 1cm thick and 2 large slices,
all with fantastic flavour.

Proper pub with welcoming atmosphere, good food, amazing beer garden and brilliant staff.
The team behind the bar went out of their way to make this a great experience for everyone. We were a party visiting the area with kids and adults and couldn’t have been made more welcome. Service was great from the friendly team and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Food was solid with some really good simple meals using local ingredients (gammon; beef shin; ham, egg and chips) although our kids didn’t love the pizza.
Don’t miss the beer garden. One of the best views from a pub garden we have experienced.

Lovely pub. Sam really looked after our large family group of 13. 8 adults and 5 kids. Food was delicious. Sam told us to let the kids play outside whilst the food was being prepared and he'd call us when it was ready. Impressively when it did arrive, it all came out at the same time with no mistakes. Would highly recommend.
We booked for 4 adults and 5 children. Some things on the menu were not available but this was due to the bank holiday weekend. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food was great. Definitely recommend the fish , large pieces and the beer batter is amazing. The pub is in a small village and parking can be a bit tricky! But it’s worth the effort.
The food was OK, the staff were very busy when we came due to a large party that was in. Food was still served in good time. I had the cod burger which was lovely.
I enjoyed a tasty meat feast pizza here. The bar is cosy and has a good atmosphere. The staff were all attentive and helpful. Sam squeezed me in on a Friday evening despite me calling to book a bit last minute. A good selection of British bar food is available at a reasonable price.

Recently stayed in Hartland and used the Kings Arms as our local for the week. The staff are amazing and make you feel really welcome. The food is amazing and huge portions. Lovely views from the beer garden. Local residents are very friendly also. A fantastic pub all round.
Friendly local pub with tasty food. Great value for £. Climbing frame for kids so you can eat your meal without sticky fingered helpers. Outside garden seating available as well. Parking near by ;).
Great pub, very friendly and helpful staff, big portions, lots of veggie / vegan options. Would definitely return if in the area again. Visited Sat 17/6
