Been coming here for 4 years steady now and never been disappointed with the food regarding taste and portion size. Very friendly service every time I visit. Also very good value whether you are ordering off the set menu or main menu. Best curry house in Hartlepool.

It's bad news when I've got to travel from Stockton-on-Tees on a train to Hartlepool to get a proper Indian. The Golden Gate must have been there 30 years now! they even catered for my wedding in 1998 and still they maintain this exceptional standard of quality Indian cuisine. A warm friendly atmosphere with fantastic service awaits all who visit, the prices are spot on.
A real credit to the Owner and Staff, long may it last.

Went for early evening meal and found I was the only one dining in at that time and it was also an early bird special .... result !
Ordered poppadoms with all the sauces, onion bhaji starter, chicken tikka massala, garlic rice and keema nan. The food was all served piping hot and with very little waiting time between each course. The food was very tasty and all the staff were polite and pleasant. Would recommend and will visit again when next in the area.
