We had a wonderful family meal last Sunday, the sirloin of beef was very tender and my wife enjoyed the Sunday trio of, beef, turkey and pork belly. We were served by kris who was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxing and made the meal enjoyable as well. We will definitely be returning.

Food and service was excellent, my curry was amazingly good. The chicken pie had huge chunks of chicken under a flaky top. Only downside is sticky table top from the cleaning materials. Great pub serving excellent choice of foods, at competative prices. Good selection of beers and friendly staff. Large garden. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Interesting history relating to when Louis XVIII lived at the nearby Hartwell House Estate.
Had a lovely dinner tonight with the family. Really enjoyed the mac and cheese from the new menu. Service was amazing, thank you Kris for doing such a great job witg looking after us and making us laugh throughout our dinner. We will be coming back.
A great evening of food and drinks with friends. Food was good: chicken curry very tasty, fish cakes were good, chicken burger also very tasty but looked a bit lost on the big plate as didn't come with many accompaniments, but nonetheless my friend enjoyed it.

Nice old pub, with plenty of tables inside and outside, friendly staff and good food. Food was slightly different than ordered (mushy peas rather than garden peas, and fries rather than chips) but was enjoyed all the same. Recommended.
