Fantastic venue for lunch. I turned up early for a lunch appointment due to no traffic on M25. About 90 mins early. The restaurant was not even open yet, they found me a spot where I could work, brought me coffee and drinks until my colleagues arrived. Once they arrived and was ready to eat, the food was excellent. We all had a variety of starters and mains and not one thing to question, it was sublime. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone Andrew, would really like to take my wife there. Distance may be a challenge for lunch though. Would definitely recommend.

So pleased to have discovered this pub after a visit to Albourne wine estate. Great service, lovely food and excellent coffee. Knowledgeable staff and a good selection of wines and beers. It’s on the higher end of pricing but the quality of the food is much higher than most pounds I have been to recently. Good veggie options too. Excellent walks within minutes and close to the coast if you want some beach time.

Food and service was great. Sat in the garden, lovely setting. The only issue was we ordered a glass of red wine and were given a very expensive glass... not known until we got the bill!

Having wanted to visit for a long time I finally came on a Friday for lunch. The sunshine was out and they had reserved us a table outside if we wanted it which was a lovely touch. I didnt get the name of the brunette lady that welcomed us but she was warm and attentive. Our waiter Donall was so lovely and chatty which is always nice. I appreciated his tips on where I can find the gorgeous Sussex Rose that I treated myself to and gave me a birthday plate with truffles which was such a kind gesture. The truffles were delicious!. I had the Sea Bream and it was divine. My friend had the bacon chop, again phenomenal. Can't wait to return.

Coming from the other side of the pond, you often hear the folklore about a calming drive across the English countryside climaxing at a little restaurant to have a proper Sunday roast. Welllll, the rumors are true and Ginger Fox was everything and more.
Located in the downs outside of Brighton, this quaint and quiet meeting place sits on the edge of a wine vineyard, nestled between honey producing bee hives.
A wide selection of wines and drinks were perfect to start, however the main dish features options including chicken, beef, pork, or fish. Mashed potatoes (mash) mixed with roasted veggies made the dinner a delight and one definitely cannot forget the delicious shepard’s pie. Also a plethora of dessert options guarantees I will be back on the next visit!

Outstanding food and consistently good. Book early. Atmosphere is genial although the restaurant can be a little drafty. Take a blanket and enjoy snuggling up instead.

Wasn’t looking for this place but stumbled across it on the way home, and I’m glad I did! The beer garden is lovely, my kids enjoyed playing in the play area, the Vegan Burger was the best one I’ve ever had and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her spicy margarita and the beetroot gnocchi!
It wasn’t the cheapest pub I’ve come across but the food alone was worth it… you get what you pay for as they say!
I’m summary, I’ve saved it to my favourites and I’ll be coming back for sure 👌🏾
PS: The service was 10/10 - very attentive and smiled throughout 😊🙌🏽
We're fast becoming regulars at The Ginger Fox, and for good reason. Refined pub food, wonderful staff and they make a decent cocktail.

Tucked away country pub with a good sized beer garden. It was raining when we went so the dining room was quite full but the staff managed to accommodate our table for two. It has the vibe of a smart restaurant but maintains the character of the pub. Definitely more of a place to go for a meal rather than a cosy drink. Nice atmosphere overall.
Excellent Bloody Mary, nice pint of Long Man ale and a fantastic lamb Sunday roast. Decent sized portions! Highly recommend

Friendly, welcoming staff and a lovely Christmassy atmosphere. Busy but not noisy so we could at least chat without shouting and we didn’t feel crammed in unlike some other restaurants.
The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. Our only grumble was that the rump steak was absolutely tiny, like the size of a small fillet steak but slightly chewy, sat on a blob of puree and two kale leaves with about 10 chips on the side. Not great value for nearly £25.
I would return but probably only for a special occasion as it’s not cheap and the portions are a bit on the small side. However, it’s a lovely place if you’re looking for something different.

Chose the GF to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. Great choice. Delicious food from an interesting menu. Service was quick and charming. Laura looked after us and gave the evening a special touch at the end of the meal to make it a memorable date night. Highly recommended.

What a find. If you didn't know it was there you'd pass it.
This is a lovely place to sit and have a drink.
Great size Garden with a kids climbing frame.
Dog friendly, even having tables inside if needed.
Serving delicious food inside and out for those lovely summer evenings.
Service was superb, very quick and friendly, even giving us a heads up as to a large table making an order soon. So get your order in quick.
I have no doubt this place will fill all your needs and totally recommend it to all

What a lovely place. We went for a Sunday lunch - have to say it was the best roast I have had outside of my kitchen 😊, there was no part of it that wasn’t spot on. I’m quite picky and it was lovely. As was the faultless service. Thank you Ginger Fox it was a pleasure and when I’m visiting son again we will return 👌🏼
PS I don’t drink but son and daughter had the spicy bloody Mary’s and said they were the best they had tasted 🤗

Very nice stop off just outside of Brighton, not so much in the winter just for a pint as it's basically just a restaurant but the food we had was very good. Having been in the summer as well I can confirm the garden is pleasant as well.

Just enjoyed my third visit to The Ginger Fox!! It’s a great pub to visit any time of the year - the restaurant area is cosy in the colder months and there is a wonderful sunny garden to enjoy in the Summer. The service here is warm and friendly and the food is exceptional for what is essentially ‘pub grub’ - modern, tasty, and made using seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. I’ve enjoyed every dish I’ve eaten here. Hoping to come back again soon!!
P.s. If you’re having a beer, the crispy jalapeños with blue cheese dip are a must!!

We have just had a fantastic Sunday dinner. Beautiful, family friendly, dog friendly, cottage style posh pub. All of the servers are attentive regardless of which table you are sat at and it didn't feel like they were rushing us. The food was definately worth every penny.
