We ordered our food online really late and spoke to the owner. Who had just closed the shop but regardless of that excepted our order and went back to open it and make our food. He was an absolute legend. Picked up the food, place was such a pretty vibe. Owner made and gave us the food, he was so nice. Didn’t have any puff puff but he gave us this delicious patty instead 🤤😋 I’m still daydreaming about it. We stayed at a hotel so there weren’t many places open, but he made our night. Food was still steaming hot when we got back, without insulation only a bag and the containers they came in. 10/10 Food tatse wise, would defo recommend. If we’d had the time we would’ve dinned in there. But at least we know now for future. Thank you for accepting our order ♥️

The owner and our host was fantastic! His service was exceptional and made great recommendations for us after inquiring where we were from and what we would like to try! The goat curry was outstanding, the plantains heavenly, the spiced chicken brought back memories of sailing in the windward islands,and the Joffre rice was superb! He even made us a special tropical juice that was a dessert in itself and perfectly complimented the meal! Great value too! 10/10 would/will definitely dine here again!

Real authentic African cuisine!! I stayed in Hastings for a week and during my visit I ate at the Carib De L’ Afrique several times, and each time was never disappointed!! Every meal I had was full of flavour, not to mention their homemade chilli sauce which I highly recommend getting alongside any of their dishes. I look forward to eating here again :D

The best Caribbean and African food in town!!! Located in town centre ,you cannot miss the place ,let the soulful music and delicious scent of African food guide you. You will be greated in most welcoming and friendly manner , owner will recommend most delicious dishes to suit your palate. Their rum punch is amazing but personally I recommend their freshly blended juice called 'Mad Mix' ,it brings back most beautiful memories from my holidays in the Caribbean. In terms of food I would recommend all their dishes, there is so much to choose from as they also have great Vegan options on the menu . My personal favourites are jerk chicken, honey wings , brown chicken stew, spinach stew, jollof rice and rice and peas. You can taste the love that has been put into the food .
