The owner and our host was fantastic! His service was exceptional and made great recommendations for us after inquiring where we were from and what we would like to try! The goat curry was outstanding, the plantains heavenly, the spiced chicken brought back memories of sailing in the windward islands, and the Joffre rice was superb! He even made us a special tropical juice that was a dessert in itself and perfectly complimented the meal! Great value too! 10/10 would/will definitely dine here again!

Delicious food in a welcoming, convivial environment. We had the sea bass and goat curry, both served with jollof rice, which were a perfect blend of the Caribbean and West Africa. The interior decor is very creative, capturing the ambience of both regions. Highly recommended.

Amazing African & Caribbean restaurant in Hastings. Food is spectacular along with the selection of drinks available at the bar. Nice sound system with great selection of music, staff are super friendly and welcoming. It can get busy at times but it is worth the wait!

Delicious Caribbean and African food. The menu was on the wall. Bright and colourful, nice decorations. Great music. We sat outside as the weather was good and had a great view of the high street. Staff are welcoming, helpful and chatty. Delicious jollef rice with a spicy kick, I preferred it over the rice and peas which was more sweet/coconut based. The beef stew was amazing, definitely one not to be missed, the jerk chicken was good, great flavours but I still preferred the beef stew. Plantin was good as always. Chana chickpeas were also tasty and well flavoured. The portions are large and for 2 people it was too much food. Lots of drink options.

Good food at reasonable prices. The jerk chicken was delicious, and pairs really well with the jollof rice.

Great food, great music but most of all the warmest welcome we've received at an eatery in many years. Can't thank and appreciate the owners enough. 💚♥️💜💙💛🧡

We ordered our food online really late and spoke to the owner. Who had just closed the shop but regardless of that excepted our order and went back to open it and make our food. He was an absolute legend. Picked up the food, place was such a pretty vibe. Owner made and gave us the food, he was so nice. Didn’t have any puff puff but he gave us this delicious patty instead 🤤😋 I’m still daydreaming about it. We stayed at a hotel so there weren’t many places open, but he made our night. Food was still steaming hot when we got back, without insulation only a bag and the containers they came in. 10/10 Food tatse wise, would defo recommend. If we’d had the time we would’ve dinned in there. But at least we know now for future. Thank you for accepting our order ♥️

What a great find this was! After a busy day of sightseeing and LOTS of walking around the country park/up and down hills; my fiancee and I were craving something different for dinner. Being huge fans of Caribbean food, we jumped at a chance to get involved in what this restaurant had to offer. 😁 We ordered ahead to attempt to grab a takeaway to enjoy on the train journey home but things didn't work out, time wise, and we decided to catch the next train so as to enjoy the cool ambience of the restaurant. (On that note, Southern Rail really are the worst!!) 👍 Staff were very friendly and helpful. Big shout out to the chef who brought our dishes to us and had a little chat with us. She was great! If you fancy something a little different to the usual seaside food on offer on Hastings, then do try this place. It really was enjoyable! Oh, and I got to try my first Nigerian beer, Star...as recommended by the gentleman who was working FOH. Great stuff overall. ✌️
