A vibrant restaurant befitting of its Kenyan heritage. The decor was on point as was the food. The Hawaiian chapatti was surprisingly good containing both cheese and pineapple and the bhajiya were crispy. The service was also attentive and friendly. We only ordered starters and a drink and the bill came to £19 per head which is quite expensive. Dress code: casual Cost: ££+ Food: Full of flavour Service: Fast Ambience: Trendy

The ambience transported me to Kenya ! 🇰🇪, the Tusker helped as well :). Definitely a 10/10 on decor. We ordered a non veg platter, egg chapati, and Gatundu style chips!! We thoroughly enjoyed our meat platter that had a generous amount of lamb , chicken and prawns. They have an extensive veg and non veg selection. I missed out on the cocktails but will try on my next visit. Oh and they also have a private area at the back of the restaurant with comfy cushions and a large screen TV for private parties upto 25. Just check with Poona :)

Visited as a large group on a Sunday afternoon and we had a great time. There's a good selection of drinks, cocktails and mocktails, along with east African Tusker. As usual we mostly ate the starters, all of which were really good, including Mombasa Mix 👍 Service was really good, despite the large group of us. There were a few other groups but it wasn't packed at the time.

The food and service is really good here, the chef even came out to meet us to get feedback. The owner is also the head chef and it makes an enormous difference to the service and attention to detail. The decor inside really makes you feel like you’re in Africa. There’s certainly a very “Masai Mara” feel to it. The East African dishes will be instantly recognised by anyone who has such a heritage. Dishes like “matoke” or plantain are on the menu and served up in very innovative ways. The carrot halwa and ice-cream is a classic of Indian desserts but the way it’s done here with dark carrots is really innovative and tasty. The place is new and the menu is dynamic so not everything on offer could be on the menu, but the staff will tell you what else is available. I’d highly recommend taking a range of starters and dining tapas style. You’ll get to experience so much more - and believe me you want that experience. Great place and excellent menu that’s vegetarian friendly.

Absolutely loved being here! The Hakuna Matata cocktail was a winner right from the first sip. The experience starts the moment you walk in with the massive sculptures of friends from African forests greeting you. The walls speak of rich afro heritage. Food is a afro twist on Indian menu. We loved the little twists and touches that makes the food feel different yet so familiar. We went in for a change in flavours and were delighted by the range of vegeterian starters. Service was good too. Overall an experience we have whole heartedly recommended to friends.

Great food! Great food! Great drinks! Kenya came to London and would recommend this restaurant anytime if you want a taste of Kenyan and Indian fusion. You must order the okra if you want the complete Kenyan style experience!

Good authentic food (you need to be open to the different taste). Great interior. Service could perhaps be better

It's great to have authentic Kenyan food in Hatch End. Mango curry was tart, sweet and spicy. Matoke was savoury with a nice bite to it. Good vegan options using soy 'meats'. It is pricey and not generally possible to request 'mild' spicing. They plan to do mandazi on Sundays, which would be great!

All of the dishes tasted fresh and full of flavour! The stand out dishes for us were the Dhora Kebab, Mogo Kebab, Keema Egg Chappati and Kuku Maji Maji! Dhora Kebab is chicken dumplings with onion served with yogurt and coconut chutney. These dumplings were the perfect amount of spice and went so good with the chutney! Mogo Kebab (Bandaa special) is minced cassava with spice and herbs cooked in tandoor and tasted amazing - we haven’t tried anything like this before but loved it! Keema Egg Chappati is filled with delicious Keema and Egg which is full of flavour and can easily be eaten alone! Kuku Maji Maji is a chicken on the bone curry cooked famous Kenyan way. We loved this dish and the flavours really came through!

Great set up and ambience. Staff are friendly and helpful. Reasonable range of veg and non veg options to choose from. Good selection of drinks. Had ordered a few veg dishes and they all generally tasted OK. The platter could do with an enhacement.

Great food, especially the starters - reminded my Mum of her childhood in Nairobi. Service was friendly, but very slow for mains - we waited an hour for the food to arrive. Good selection of cocktails Waiting staff were welcoming, especially Kevin from Mauritius. Would recommend the chilli & pineapple sauce!

Heard there was a kenyan cuisine restaurant open so thought go and check it out. Food was super amazing. Food was taking time to arrive but was worth the wait. Service is spot on. Place has very vibrant colours and is quite cosy. Will defo go again but will need to brush up on the swahili to read the menu..😉😉
