We stayed in the area overnight to make an early flight out of Stansted. We were happy to find somewhere to dine out that wasnāt pub food. A bit dubious that weād get anything more than adequate āAsianā food, but we were amazed by Koko Thai.
Iāve travelled the world and this place is serving as authentic Thai food as you can find anywhere. All fresh, high-quality ingredients and all very reasonably priced.
Itās a family run business with āChef Mā at the helm. Lovely, friendly and quirky frontman with aspirations for a Michelin Star āļø and a run at āTop Chefā!
Itās this motivation that keeps the quality high in all respects. And I have a feeling heāll make it! Everything here is excellent. A real gem š for the area but I wonder if the locals truly understand what they have hereā¦? We wish we had it where we are. An absolutely phenomenal dining experience in all respects.

Fantastic food with amazing vegan and vegetarian options. By far some of the best Thai food I've had in while. Service was good. Perfect if you're hungry after flying into Stansted airport.

Nice little restaurant and delicious food with authentic flavours. The owner/main chef even came out from the kitchen to greet us. A bit of an eccentric but a he was a good laugh.

Lovely little place, great food and fabulous friendly service. Takeaway is good, but Thai food is much better straight from the kitchen of course, so dining in is much better.. on another level! A little gem for sure!

Friday lunch proved to be very special! Koko Thai ranks as the best of all Thai restaurants I have experienced. Under the leadership of Chef M, the food is expertly prepared and served. Staff are totally respectful, adding to the charm and ambience of the venue. Well worth a visit for those who appreciate the highest of standards.

What a wonderful place! A real find! The food was amazing, but the star of the show was Mr KoKo himself! Went above and beyond being amazing host! After a missed flight and taxis trying to rip us off! The delicious food and great atmosphere really made up for a bad day! Will come again when we are in this neck of the wood !!! Thank you

Excellent restaurant. Customer services is first rate. They have a great, relaxing atmosphere with smooth jazz playing in the background. Chef M personally greeted and seated us. It was our first time here. We were up for the weekend. The food is delicious.
