Nice location, felt private around the hot tub area - not over looked. Parking wasn’t too great though. The lodge it’s self was clean and tidy, I would bring cleaning things with you as nothing like that is provided - hand soap, dish soap, dish cloths, bin bags etc. there was also no hoover so couldn’t hoover whilst there. Only provided with 2 towels for 4 people but when we asked they gave us some more very quickly. The double bed was very lumpy and quite uncomfortable, it’s probably due an upgrade. The bar/restaurant was closed while we were there which was disappointing but I guess we did stay out of season. There is mention of a ‘welcome pack’ but we didn’t receive one, didn’t bother to ask so it possible this could have been given to us if we did. The staff we interacted with were all very lovely and pleasant enough. We’d definitely book again and hope we get a comfy bed next time. Oh if you fancy a nice coffee and breakfast/lunch go to the lake side cafe in the little village nearby Thorne.

We have spent 4 nights here and will be back without a doubt! Lodge is modern and very clean and the location is perfect, with good pubs and restaurants not too far away and the club on site is great too if you don’t want to stray too far away. We have had the most relaxing time and the staff and owners on site have been brill! We felt the price was more than fair also and definitely worth a mention, as it feels a lot of places overcharge for what you get - definitely not the case here as we were well impressed! Absolutely loved our 5 day break lodge was spotless milk and wine left for us in fridge on arrival lovely gesture .very spacious. 2 Bathrooms. Hot tub was perfect and cleaned every day fluffy white robes for us in wardrobe Pefect for peace quite relaxation Lovely little place for pubs and canal walk just a very short drive away very friendly people Everything was just perfect cannot wait to return
