Went there for breakfast this morning, food was excellent, help yourself buffet breakfast.....eggs were orange yolked and were delicious (local farm) must have come from very happy chickens! Bacon was thick and tasty, sausages also yummy. Reasonable price for a delicious breakfast, the surroundings were pleasant, clean and the staff were helpful.....we shall be going back ☺️
My husband and i have stayed at the welcome traveler for many years. The rooms are clean and tidy. Good value for money. Geoff,Babs & Sarah are the best hosts ever. Good home cooked food, portions good value for money to. See you soon Dave & Ann-marie from Plymouth.

Exceeded my expectations! We stayed at the The Welcome Traveller with a view to recommending them to our Coasteering clients. It was easy to find, with ample parking, the reception & dining area were much bigger than expected (it's like a tardis), a warm welcome awaits all visitors, rooms were clean & functional, food was tasty (thanks chef Geoff). Spent the evening in the small bar, cozy & warm, pool table, bigscreen tv, patio area. The larger bar/function room area is ideal for weddings and other celebrations. We'll certainly be recommending you guys to our clients, prices are good value for money. Their adventure day package includes breakfast, a packed lunch and evening meal. Thanks folks :)

came to the Welcome Travellor for a few days on a motorbike trip with the lads, was met by Babs and Geoff and all I can say is truly lovely people, more than helpful with everything, rooms spotless and very large, comfortable beds, large bathroom, first night in the bar few pints and we tried the homemade steak pie and chips and wow really was the best steak pie ever, Geoff is so friendly and a great laugh, and couldn't be more helpful if he wanted to be, and when we was leaving after day 2, he even took the time to come out have a look at the bikes and wave us off, Babs Geoff it was a pleasure, highly recommend this as a place to stay, hope to see you again one day take care.
Visited the restaurant for breakfast, very happy. Only downside was waiting for food as it ran out. Not the chef's fault at all, I was just last in line after 8 other hungry gluttons.
Visited for the breakfast buffet. Great value and great food. Nice and tasty. Would definitely recommend and will be back!
Went here for the all you can eat breakfast, food was fab and staff were friendly but decor is dated and quite clostrophobic the way its layed out. Would definately visit again though
Very friendly, welcoming place. Clean and tidy room with excellent bedding. Shower room was spotless. Just a wonderful place to stay. Will definitely stay again!
