We're regular visitors as it is one of the only relatively local cafes who always offer cream with their coffee, which is also very good and not at all bitter. I'm low carb and again, they're always happy to replace something on the menu with salad. This time I tried the egg and bacon benedict, with a salad instead of the muffin and it was delicious.

Stumbled across this stunning place whilst it was pouring down and was looking for somewhere to eat. What a gem! The food was tasty and had the best chai tea I have ever tasted in the UK. Due to the weather, we did not sit on the deck, and sat by the windows. Will definitely re-visit when the weather is nicer.

Great little place situated just outside of hawkhurst. We had a variety of food when there and all was amazingly well cooked and the atmosphere was lovely. Our waitress was very personable and friendly. 10/10 will be going again when I am in the area

Above average.
In particular the lovely lady who allowed us to move as where we were allocated was very windy. Then we mentioned a self inflicted issue with the coffee. Which she very kindly replaced.
Excellent place.

This has become a firm favourite for occasional and regular visitor alike. The venue has grown over the years to allow more seating, with quite a few tables outside - lovely when warmer, chilly in winter but with fab views over the lake and water wildlife.
Can seem a little cramped inside, especially in the more 'recent' (a long time ago) extension/conservatory, but enough room to get about.
Has a very convenient gently sloping ramp installed for those that would find steps not convenient.
Variety of cooked meals, as well as cakes, snacks, etc.

Really nice setting for lunch on a sunny day. It's a shame you aren't allowed to walk around the lakes if you aren't fishing, but I understand why. The food was nice and a good price, although my burger was slightly chewy.

Lovely surroundings sitting out on decking overlooking the fishing lakes. We had scones with cream and jam which were lovely but the drinks were not very hot, not a big problem. Good covid measures in place with a one way systemic the cafe, face masks and hand sanitizer at the door. Lots of information on hand at the entrance regarding fishing cost, rules and peoples catches. Would visit again to eat and fish!
