Tramper was already hired out so decided to take my own mobility scooter around. Wasted a couple of miles of battery power following the wrong trail but went to visitors centre to look at map then headed out on the tramper trail. My scooter managed but used quite a bit of battery life by the time I got around. Could I make a suggestion that where you have the posts with the black plate and white arrows on that you put how far around you actually travelled or have left to travel as we had no idea where we were . Had a look on the site on Google but it seamed to be the wrong way around. We thoroughly enjoyed it so did the dog.

One of my favourite places in the world . I may have seen a few things in my time , spectacular buildings, coral reef and such but the lakes of England have a unique light and feel. I would happily spend my days here.

Lovely place to visit for all ages and abilities. Beautiful forest with loads of different levels of walks, cycle paths and Go Ape is above part of your forest walk. The facilities here are really good and clean. After a lovely walk through the forest, watching children and adults having fun high in the tree, enjoying the sunshine we returned to the main area and enjoyed an ice cream milk shake. We sat outside in the sunshine, enjoying the sound of others enjoying their time outdoors and with nature. Highly recommend a visit to Grizedale Forest while visiting the Lake District.

Great day out in the Ebikes. Nice trails for everyone to enjoy. The hire bikes some of our group had were well maintained and the staff were lovely. Happy to help and nothing was no problem 😁

Visited Grizedale forest just after the bank holiday. We did GoApe in the morning and hired mountain bikes in the afternoon. The setting for the visitors centre is beautiful. The facilities are clean and smart. The staff were friendly and polite. Their fresh ice cream was lovely. Unfortunately, we didn't use many other options and did not eat inside (it was sunny and there is plenty of seating outside). The parking is an automated number plate- pay as you leave option (£8 for a full day). Beware the main roads to get to Grizedale can be very tight so leave adequate traveling time if you have anything booked.
