Nice place good beer and great staff didn't eat there, but the food I saw coming past looked very good. Mainly stopped to be able to sit out in the sunshine and enjoy a pint for which the beer gardens great to be in

Great atmosphere and the interior is a delight with multiple open fires around the place..
It's more than reasonably priced you get a lot more than you pay for.

Made welcome by staff who showed us to our table. Left drink and food menus with us but returned frequently just looking before after about ten minutes asking whether we were ready to order by which time we were all settled and ready. Our main courses were served together but the one person who had only wanted a starter had to wait several more minutes. She was informed about the delay so didn't worry. Empty plates were removed swiftly after everyone had finished and orders for dessert and coffee taken. All in all a good experience with good hot food.
We thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was outstanding throughout. The food was very good ( we both had pâté, and then a rib-eye steak and sausages and mash). My pint was a little end-of-barrelish, the waitress immediately took it back and exchanged it. Very impressive. We were in the far room which was well spaced. The atmosphere in the pub was lively and added to the meal.
Had an excellent lunch. Steak cooked how I requested. A shout out to the lovely friendly young lady that served us. She was attentive, helpful and worked extremely hard in a busy time but with a smile for everyone. Would highly recommend this place. Excellent food and excellent value for the two course specials menu we had. Thankyou.
Plenty of carparking space......beautiful historic building and decor. Booked for 1.30pm, and table was ready for seating at that time. Very welcoming staff and attention at all times throughout the meal. Lovely Sunday roast, served on warmed plates and piping hot main meal food and gravy. Ample portion sizes and drinks at reasonable prices.

From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and valued, largely due to the fact that Lily was so very warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, she’s a real credit to you. You have such a wonderful old building, it felt such a privilege to be there. The food was outstanding, very good portions, so much so I was beaten by my delicious fish and chips! If I could I would visit you regularly, but as we were on holiday from Cambridge sadly we won’t be able to.
Booking a table was easy online. On arrival we were shown to our table almost immediately, staff were extremely friendly and professional.
Service was quick and the food was 1st class and at a reasonable price. I will definitely be returning and recommending the old Hall to all my friends and family. 10 out of 10 from me .
Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The room was lovely and clean. The food in the restaurant was delicious, well priced and great value. The staff we encountered were extremely pleasant and helpful. The bed was so comfortable my wife slept for the full night for the first time in months. We will definitely be visiting again in the future. Thank you for such a pleasant stay.
Easy to make a reservation, and change the timing if needed. Staff were very welcoming and quick to ask for our drink order whilst providing the menus so we could choose our meal.
The menu had a good variation of choices, and even offered a 30% discount on anything from the grill.
The food was nicely presented, and our group had a mixture of choices, which were all good.
Old Hall has a good atmosphere, being hundreds of years old.

A lovely venue for a meal or just a drink in a good location for all the tourist attractions.
The staff were excellent and the service was very good. We didn't have very long to wait for our meals which were delicious and well presented and were all reasonably priced.
The toilets were on the ground floor and spotlessly clean.
There is ample car parking and a lovely sitting out area.
