Nice setting but AWFUL service - no toilets or showers on campsite - you have to share one shower from the pub between the whole campsite, and use pub loo (when it's open!!)
Friendly staff but the two old women that I guess own the place are horrid - very unfriendly and feckless. Looks like it used to be a nice place but has gone downhill in a big way.
Same story with the pub - got wrong drinks, terrible ale and wrong change...
Overall: nice location, terrible campsite!

I would not recommend camping here. The toilet block was filthy with no lights or hot water, let alone loo roll or soap. The peacocks look pretty in the day time but are so loud from very early morning that you can't get a good nights sleep.

Ignore the negative reviews 🙄. Been here multiple times and loved every minute. If you're going to complain about the tents not being shiny and new then clearly you shouldn't be camping, nature is beautiful and you're paying to be in it...

The teepee was disgusting (inside and outside), the floor was dirty, the fabric was mouldy and full of holes. "Luckily" we were able to choose our teepee and chose one without a wet carpet floor but "just" dirty uneven wooden boards. The flue of the stove was blocked and the whole teepee quickly got very smokey (despite us having brought some kiln dried wood from home). It rained during the night and we had to sleep and move all our stuff in one corner where the roof wasn't leaking so much. It's a real shame because the place has a lot of potential to be great. Beautiful trees, nice river, some activities, nice pub etc.

Anyone giving a good review on camping here is a liar. Probably a great place for the homeless to doss. Oh and for the love of god don't dare to complain to the unstable nutter that owns it!!!

This place is heaven on earth . Outstanding location and even more outstanding hospitality. If you want real camping with real people then this is the place for you . We will be going back in the next few months and will now be a destination for ever . Viva Hollybush and viva barbera.. Sam & Emily Bond

This was the worst campsite I have ever been to, we booked to stay for 3 nights but only ended up staying the one.
Barbara who owns the campsite is crazy, she was very confrontational and was running around the site with no shoes on.
There was rubbish everywhere, and the site was in a really bad condition.

If you want chav, you're in. If you want rowdy, drunkeness at 11:30 pub kick out then this is your place. If you want a shower if you turn up after sundown, it ain't. If you don't want to sleep you're in. If you are a real camper, steer as clear as you possibly can. I was so disappointed I left and went and wild camped in the moutains instead. A truely dreadful place. The worst place I've every tried to camp at. Aweful, truly bloody aweful.
