Three of us were staying in Hayle and chose this place to get our fish n chips. We were not disappointed ! Beautiful freshly cooked plaice and haddock and mountains of chips. Great mushy peas too. Could not have been better with lovely friendly staff too. Excellent !!!

Came here based on reviews - I’m glad I did fantastic fresh cod and chips quite a few locals picking up orders here and I see why.
Friendly people and great portions the large chips were HUGE. This will be a stop every time we come to Hayle in the future.

You will not stumble across this place but it is well worth a specific trip as I made from a local campsite. It was busy on a Saturday night (as a good place should be!) so there was a little wait, but it was worth it for one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had - the chips were hands down THE BEST. Lovely service from the ladies behind the counter and I thought it was also very good value.

Simply put the best fish and chips I've ever eaten by a long way. Just perfection and not over priced considering the quality. I only get to visit once a year when I'm down south visiting family and its always consistently delicious and something I look forward to. If you're in the area it's worth driving to for sure.

Food was good, service was friendly. Bit of a wait once I'd ordered but it was a Friday evening so it's to be expected. One of the better chippys in the area, they beat Sanders in every single aspect.

Love getting fish and chips at Highlanes!
Can only speak for the cod and chips as all I've had from there, but always well cooked, large portions and really good curry sauce too!
Sometimes there is a queue but to me that just tells you how good it is, and it's never a very long wait anyway. Worth every minute!

On holiday in Cornwall and have had fish and chips 3 nights out of 7!! Fantastic food, generous portion sizes, good value and friendly and helpful staff. Will return next year!
