Review Giorgio's Ristorante Italiano - Headingley

Fantastic place! Me and the Mrs went in there for their lunch time deal - £6.95 any pizza or pasta, and couldn’t have asked for a better service and food. Bill came to £20 for two nice plates and some drinks. Highly recommend!

My wife and I went pretty much on spec but we had a really good time. Food excellent and service attentive but not obtrusive. The seafood starter was ace and the chicken/mushroom in sauce was superb.

I love Giorgios. Have been here a few times now. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and best of all authentic Italian food. They are also on Meerkat Meals which makes it very reasonable. The garlic bread is a must! Will be visiting again soon.

We had a quite lunch here. The food was great and well priced (They seemed to have some sort of deal on today. Check the website). The service was very good. As was the coffee.

Very welcoming. I was dining alone and the staff were very friendly. The Spaghetti and Meatballs was delicious and also the portion size was very generous. Definitely recommend.

Lunch time specials are great decent portions. We arrived just before closing time and we were going to leave. The owner had a word with the chef to stay on a little longer so we could order. Fabulous customer service will be highly recommending.

Back to one of our favourite little restaurants for a valentine's meal. We have come here a couple of times before on the same occasion. We haven't been out in ages though, and it was a little worrying to see it so crowded, but a testament to how popular Giorgio's is! They had a few vegan items which was great; we had the minestrone soup for starters, a mushroom risotto and a fusilli alla donatello for mains, and mango sorbet to finish. Every single item was superb, from start to finish and the portions were generous. The sorbet was the best we've had in this country, on par with the ones we've enjoyed in Florence. Couldn't have asked for a better meal on a special day. Despite being short staffed, the service was largely good and with a smile, too. Thanks to everyone who ensured we had a good experience. 😊

Excellent food, great service felt very welcome and well fed. Had the mixed fish grill and everything tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. Will recommend to anyone and definitely go back next time I'm in the area

I love this place! Always so impressed by the food and impeccable service. I wish I could rate more than 5 stars. They have a really good lunch time deal as well, and was also able to eat there when I was gluten free. Incredible incredible incredible.

New Year's Eve meal with friends.... Great atmosphere, welcoming friendly staff and fabulous food made for a great evening at Giorgios. From the flavour of the minestrone soup, to the quality of the smoked salmon, the taste of the chargrilled fish, to the wonderful profiteroles and cheesecake. A place to enjoy anytime of the year. We loved it!

Went here for my daughters 7th birthday with my 71 year old mother. The staff were incredibly accomodating, nice and friendly. They made my daughter feel very special and the staff and other patrons sang her happy birthday. The service was great and the food superb.

Our second family gathering at Giorgio's. First one was a midweek night almost exactly 1 year ago, the second was a Sunday lunchtime. Variety of food is good and it's been tasty and well cooked both times. Maybe it's not traditional to eat Sumday lunch here as it was very quiet with not much atmosphere. The single waiter was friendly, but service was a little slow - not that this mattered too much as we were chatting away. Contrast this with a midweek night a year ago.. it was busy, there was a turnover of tables and despite us again being happily chatting as a family, the overall vibe and service was better (which is why we booked again).

Place seems v cozy and the foods are yummo, would defo go back to get some tiramisu 🫨

So I have been here a few times before and loved the place but hadn't been for a while. I went tonight and it had changed, food completely different and just not nice. I politely brought this up with a waiter who got the manager, again politely told the manager I'm sorry but it just wasn't nice. The manager didn't apologise just said okay I'll take it off the bill. I was happy with this, then she asked my boyfriend if he enjoyed his which he replied yea and I got a sly look off her. The waiter then came and offered me a free glass of wine, again a lovely gesture which I appreciated and he apologised (well done the waiter!) but this was then added to the bill by the manager. When I then pointed out to the manager the complimentary glass of wine had been added to the bill she wasn't happy, while she took it off on a nearby till I got the dirtiest look I've ever seen. Yeah fully appreciated the free meal, didn't appreciate the attitude one bit! Will NOT be returning again, nor will many of my friends who I have told this to this evening despite it being one of their favourites

On arrival we was told cash only. Not too much of a problem. After previously looking online at the menus (Student & Fixed price menu) when we was seated the waiter only gave us the standard EXPENSIVE menu. When quizzed about the other menus he seemed reluctant to give us them. Food was good, although a little salty. Still rather expensive when you have to order sides because that doesn't come as standard. No beers on draught either, so forced to buy bottled beer, limited to Peroni or Moretti. And if you know your beers, they arnt cheap! Especially for small bottles. Overall rating is 3 because the food was good, but I don't think I will return.

Although when I finally received my meal, it was lovely. I was very disappointed in last nights service. My meal marked a special occasion with my family, and repeatedly needed to request for basics, for example water or food that was forgotten after being ordered. All this disappointment whilst it was not busy... I dread to think what its like when it is.

what a lovely place great friendly staff a diverse menu. and massive portions. we went with the hi li life diners card and im pretty sure they do other deals. the food we had was very good, give it a go you wont be dissapointed

I like the ambience, speed of service, friendly staff. Unfortunately, my fillet steak was veal, delicious, nonetheless. Our bill was adjusted satisfactorily.

I had my baby shower at the restaurant in Rodley today and it was amazing. The service, food and hospitality were all spot on. Thank you for making my day special. Highly recommend.

Never had a more appalling experience ! We dined this evening for a family birthday and safe to say we will not be going back. The table was booked for 6.30 for 14 and it wasn't ready when we arrived (there was only 2 other families dining at the time) .. There was no bread baskets placed on the tables until we asked for them as our starter came out.. our starters did not arrive until nearly 8pm ! After ordering nearly an hour before. I ordered my daughter a grilled chicken and chips from the children's menu as this is something she would thoroughly enjoy, when it arrived she refused to eat and began pushing it away, this is because it had been cooked with the salmon as you could taste it on the chicken and smell it, this is a huge cross contamination issue ! You have different boards for preparation so how is it then acceptable to cook them together. We had a fish allergy on the table and if my daughters grandfather had of checked her food for her to make sure it wasn't too hot our night could of ended a lot differently ! . I spoke to the waitress who had been serving us and she said 'well if you had of told me about the allergy I would of told the kitchen' why should a fish allergy matter when we are ordering chicken and pasta dishes ?! Good way to pass the blame, the waitresses were very rude and abrupt when we made our complaints. Another member of family found a large bit of plastic in her food and staff thought a free drink was acceptable. They had run out of mince for the spag Bol before the evening had started but yet could offer meatballs. They ran out of lemonade, Stella was offered when asked what larger they had available so when that was chosen we was then told they only had one type of larger available at £6.05 a bottle and no Stella. For the prices stated the portion sizes did not reflect that, only one and a half meatballs had been put in one of the mains. Parmesan was not offered for the mains and had to be asked for, sides came out after we had finished eating, drink orders where ignored and not given. There was clearly no management around or anyone of a higher position, the staff blamed the fact that there had been a lot of walk-ins that they didn't expect. Regardless of that there was still a fair sized table booked and you couldn't even be attentive to that table. The waiting staff clearly can't cope in a fast paced environment as you could tell by the way they were rushing about and sorting bills out. As I've already said we certainly will not be coming back to dine again and this is coming from a family who enjoy eating out, especially at Italian restaurants. And I'm also sure the food standards agency would love to know about cross contamination with in the kitchen and also why would you knowingly serve a 1 year old with a porcelain plate that was hot !

Thank you to everyone at Georgios for making my birthday celebrations a joy! From the first class service to the mouthwatering food, you guys gave that personal touch. Thanks again and can't wait to visit again :)

My husband and I were on a short visit from newcastle, stumbled across this quirky restaurant last night and decided to eat there. I am the fussy one so very hard to please. We both thoroughly enjoyed our 2 courses. The staff were professional and attentive and we would not hesitate to visit Georgia's again if back in the area.

We've been coming to Georgio's for maybe 2 years and food and service always great. Recently their card machine works sporadically so you never know where you are. No machine again this week and no communication till we wanted to pay the bill !!! Not good enough Giorgio 's ��

One of our favourites. Great food friendly staff well worth a visit

Just posted on TripAdvisor but thought I'd post on here as well. I've been to Giorgio's a few times but will never go again. After our meal I went to the toilet, a chef was in there and left without washing his hands! He may have gone down to the kitchen and washed them in there, I don't know and I don't really care, he shouldn't have left the toilet without washing them and as such will not be eating at Giorgia's again!

Had a lovely lunch yesterday and catch up with my old school friend , always enjoyed my food here
