Salvo's

Came in last night for dinner, were greeted by Alex in the bar, he looked after us and showed us down to our table. We ordered mozzarella and burata starters, followed by the lasagne and fruiti di mare- both meals were excellent, with amazing service. Also, my gluten allergy was well looked after here, super accommodating staff and overall lovely.

Such a warm welcome this evening. Not eaten here for a while but heard new owners had taken over . Must say we were not dissatisfied. We were warmly welcomed and expertly served by Mentor . .Our food was delicious and plenty full and full of flavour after being recommended by Mentor, great advice and did not dissuade.The restaurant had a great vibe . Nice to see spotless clean smelling toilets too . We will definitely return!

Excellent service!! I can tell that Salvo’s really care about their customer experience. I was given tasters of the wines when I couldn’t decide which one I wanted. And I was feeling very faint halfway through my meal - and Mentor who was taking care of our table went above and beyond to make sure that I was okay. He kept coming to check on me and even brought me a blanket to keep me warm. The food was sensational - very generously topped pizzas and the Funghi pasta was so beautifully made. I enjoyed every bite of it! Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend!!

We booked for a family birthday meal for my mum’s 83rd birthday and I can’t fault the atmosphere, table we were given, food or the service. We had a toddler with us as well as a newborn baby and we felt there was enough room for a pram so the baby could sleep whilst we ate. Because our youngest needed feeding, she and her parents were the last ones to join us (a little late) but we were never made to feel rushed by the staff. There was some drawing for our toddler and staff brought out the cake we had supplied them with, at an appropriate moment so we could sing happy birthday. Everyone loved their meals and any left overs were boxed up for us to take home. A lovely family restaurant that has stood the rest of time (my parents ate here in the seventies and my husband and I in the eighties and noughties) and it is as good now as it always has been. A reputation well deserved 😊
