Not a bad pub at all. Didn't look much from the outside but pleasantly surprised by the interior. Decent pint of Abbot Ale, friendly barmaid and a nice pool table... Just what we were looking for

A good honest, friendly place.
Clean and welcoming.
Unfortunately it was very quiet and not what it used to be but that's not a reflection on the place or staff!
It just needs people to go back in!

The new management has really done a good job of sprucing the place up. Unfortunately I can't recommend it for families, pussay, but the atmosphere has gotten a lot better.
Drinks are reasonably priced and they have started doing cocktails which you can buy separately or in a pitcher. They've also started to get decent entertainment on.
Worth going to to the red lion again.
