I came to gun hill on my own a few weeks ago. I was traveling in the area. I’m also vegan so I was looking for somewhere that could accommodate and they had a few option on their menu! I went for the vegan fish and chips which was actually delicious(they use banana blossom!). Julia, one of the waitresses was super friendly and came over to talk to me for a bit as I was alone and she was really lovely. Would really recommend this place if you’re in the area!

Very friendly pub, helpful staff, made us feel welcome and looked after us very well. Food good too, maybe a little pricey, but worth it. Julia and another young man (who's name we didn't get) served us and looked after us very well. Would come again.

Great food, quality service. Delightful old pub that, in spite of being a chain, feels like a traditional pub in every way. Warmly greeted at the door, and great service throughout. I found plenty of slimming friendly dishes and had seared scallops, my companion had a burger which was the best pub burger we'd ever had. We'll definitely be back

Great food, decent menu too, but you have to order at the bar giving them your table number and pay straight away. Then when it is done they bring your food to you and tell you where you can get your cutlery.
Excellent, excellent pizza from the oven in the very centre of things, and oh so wonderful: they have a doggy menu!
Atmosphere was really jammy, everyone friendly and enjoying themselves.

We had an amazing time here.
Everything was just great, the environment with a spacious garden, the fresh food well cooked, the fact that we didn't have to wait long to get what we ordered and also the service! Julia delivered a 5* service.
We will definitely come back here next time!

Great food, great beers and some very nice wine! Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Prices were good for the quality of the service. Cosy indoors and a lovely, large garden with plenty of tables outside.

Great food, amazing location, nice pub and great pub garden. Sadly service can be hit and miss...quite often waiting a while for service or food. Isn't terrible but definitely noticeable sadly.
Overall worth a visit just be prepared to potentially wait a while for food.

Vegan food at this place is great, can be difficult to find vegan food without it being overly spicy or bland - you’ll certainly not be disappointed here. Can be overly busy which can affect service but the atmosphere is great & food is always tasty so I never mind, particularly when I’m enjoying catching up with friends!

Had a table booked for Father’s Day, came with my fiancé and 3 month old.
Place was packed and very busy.
Staff were all lovely and accommodating.
Didn’t wait long at all for drinks or food.
Everything made from scratch and fresh, really nice food and cooked perfect.
Nice big garden
Plenty of parking.
Well worth a visit!!
