The Mill Tavern

Arrived on time for our booked table, it was so busy which is always a good sign for any business. Advised would be an hour wait for our food to arrive at our table which was fine by us all. Food arrived it was lovely but sadly some of our party had missing items, we didn’t make a fuss about it , but felt it was too busy and they must of ran out of items that should of been on our plates as stated on the menu. Would we go back sat night for food no. Would we go back daytime through the week when quieter a big yes. We did notice a band was going to playing later that night hence so busy and people in good spirits very lively and noisy.

Fabulous pub and eaterie . So comfortable with a lovely atmoshere . Was unsure in what to pick from the vast menu which encompassed many different dishes . Being a sea food addict , I had phoned ahead to ask if Seafood Risotto was on offer . It was and the best I've ever tasted . Hats off and a big handshake to the chef and kitchen staff who had served perfection on a plate . My O.H. settled for the old English favourite of battered cod with chips and fresh salad served with lemon wedges . I nicked a bit and that batter was to die for. I finished off with a simple cheesecake as did him indoors Stuffed was not the word . Absolute delight of a place in Hebburn . The staff , front of house and kitchen were 100% . Will be back again without fear of contradiction . Well done to The Mill Tavern.
